Recovery Data Tools website falsely claims 30-day money back guarantee for customers' "utmost satisfaction"; however, this India-based company is an irreputable SHAM that performs dismally and unethically - opposite to their claims of many awards for best software.
Their software, Recover Data for NTFS, FAILED to run on my new Lenovo Thinkpad with Vista 32 SP2 OS, which they guaranteed; although, the trial version did appear to function, except they forced you to buy a full version to recover files. The full purchased version failed to completely run and was NEVER able to restore my crashed files on a standard SATA WD 300Gb hard drive, even after I ensured it was the latest version and run on a "clean" (msconfig shut down all non-essential MS software) OS. Tech support responded only once with suggestions that I already tried that failed, and their advertised 24-hour CHAT support and phones were NEVER answered for months.
When I requested my money back to PayPal within 1 week, per their bogus guarantee, I NEVER heard from them again. They completely ignored my emails, PayPal's dispute and claim process, and simply kept (stole) my money for their DEFECTIVE software. Their awards and ads are FALSE, and PayPal was USELESS in trying to recover my funds.
Stay absolutely clear away from this unscrupulous company, Recoverdatatools.com - their guarantee is absolutely NON-EXISTANT!
Also, beware of misleading PayPal buyer assurances which do not protect customers as PayPal and companies try to claim. PayPal "hides" behing their weak or false assertion that software is not a "shipped" product but is only virtual, and so they cannot assist purchasers; however, this is not entirely true, since software as intellectual property can be delivered (shipped) to customers and installed identically, whether sent as files downloaded online or mailed to upload files from a CD-ROM, etc. Further, PayPal's GE Credit Card also FAILS to provide customers with usual credit card protections for purcahses, as they also would NOT assist with this sham.
