Sheila Pockert placed a blind ad for an Administrative Assistant position. I answered the ad. She called and gave me a phone screen, the website of the company, and a request for another resume from me.
Several days passed and she did not call, so I called her to learn that she works only parttime and she had a contract with only one hiring manager in the company. I applied for another position within the company and, out of courtesy, let them know that I was working with Sheila on the Admin position. I copied Sheila on that correspondence.
She called, and was very unhappy that I had applied for the other job saying the "any application with that company should go through her".
She again told me she would present my resume (which she altered without sending me a copy) and set up an interview. She also asked for my home address, which I refused to provide.
Three weeks and four phone calls to her have passed and she has not called. Maybe she wanted my home address to try some identity theft scam - don't know.
Do not do business with Recruiting Associates or Sheila Pockert. Also, probably not a good idea to answer blind ads. They are usually scams.
