Roaches
1-11-08 I went to what I thought was going to be a relaxing evining in a motel red carpet inn 6868 hornwood dr. Kouston tx 77074 for my birthday. After working hard all I wanted was to get away from the family. I decided to get a room and relax. Little did I know roaches, rude staff and a rent-a- cop would mess up the night I had been plaining for weeks. The first room I checked into had roaches all over the bath room so I went right back to complain. I also ask the staff at the front desk was the building infested with roaches due to that many I saw when in the room. She (the front desk clerk) lied and said no no problem and gave me another room. As I took off my shoes and layed across the bed I saw a single roach by my head on the night table. I became in rage and knew the front desk clerk was lying. The room 218 and 230 were not side by side. If there were not a problem in the building and only that room like she said then why on one side of th building in 218 the roaches were infested taking over the bathroom.
The other side of the building in room230 the roaches was hidden at first and only one roach on the nighttable ran back and forward. To tied I sat on the other side of the room to wait and see if more roaches would appear. It did not take long for them to come out when I turned the lights off and back on moments later. I figured out why the light had been on in room 218 when arriving. Bebecause roaches will not appear in the light they run and hide. Staff already new about the problem I thought. Back in room230 I sat tied hungry angry and dirty from working. I went to take a shower and said forget it I will not let the roaches bother me. I was thinking about the fact it is my birthday. I tried to stick it out and not worry about it. I laid down and tried to sleep after my shower.
And I spent $38 dollars on a cab. 35 Dollars on the room. 500 Shooping after work. I fell asleep for a while and was awaken by something funny on TV. I could not fall back a sleep so I got up to get some water. When turning the light on I was shocked and appalled at what I saw. Roaches were all over the room big and small. I ran to get my cell phone from my jacket in the dressing room to record the roaches as they took over the room. Every part of the room was infested. A roach crawled on me and that was the end of me sticking it out for my birthday. With no more money no car I decide damn enough was enough. I dressed myself quickly and ran to the front desk upset appalled and calm. I nicely pulled out my cell ph to show the clerk the problem in room230 I told her a roach crawled on me that is why I was ready to go. She showed no interest in the footage of the roaches and look disgusted at the sight. She turned her head and want to see no more. I said to her no look what is in my room lady. She turned away and said you were in the room 2 hours why you didn't say nothing until now. I did not answer her because I tried to stay clam even though I was on fire in the inside my mind. I said can I please have my money back to leave and get another room. She said no. I said it is the second room lady. Both rooms you gave me were infested with roaches. She said go but we can not give you your noney back you were in the room 2 hours. I said nothing tring to be cool and claim.
I want to burn the building down with her inside. But I remained clam and told her I have footage of the room and th problem in it. She said so nothing is going to be done because you were in the room 2 hours. As we spoke she steady rang up more customers giving them rooms. I want to tell them run out of here they have a roach problem. The man staff looked at me with anger like he would do something to me if I spoke to there other guest.
I laughed in his face to show I was not afraid of him. Other people came into the motel office and told me there problem too. They also had roaches in their rooms. I knew them the staff were lying and didn't care just wanted money. I told the staff lady all the staff are wrong for giving those rooms out in that condition. I sat and watched couple after couple come in get a room and come back in discuss. I called a friend and told him to pick me up I have a problem and no more paper money on me. As I wait the motel cop tried to intimidate me. I laughed and chewed a gum. I was upset and regret trying to go relax for my birthday. I should have stayed at hm with the family. The staff refused to be understanding. They spoke bad about me and laughed because I really did think I could get my money back. The front desk girl wrote what happened and who I was on a paper because her shift was about to be over. The next shift came on and still I waited for my friend to pick me up. The next shift girl was rude and had a attitude when I said nothing to her but could I use the phone to call my friend my cell ph is dying and I'm waiting on my ride. She treated me poorly and did not let me use the phone. I tried to stay clam and not explode. I was never rude nor showed my anger nor frustration. I had the worst birthday and I still said god thank you for being here another day. My ride came and I left calmly and peacefully but in the cab I rant and rave and could not wait to get him.
I told the cab driver every thing and he offered to give me that ride for free sense it was my birthday I said no thanks and paid with my credit card. I walked in the house jumped in my bed and thanked god for being hm. I talked all night to my other friends about the red carpet inn. They all laughed in shock and said you were calm the whole time I would have burn the bitch down for my money worth.

Terrible place
This letter is regarding a hotel I booked through your website on October 17, 2008. For the past four years I have religiously utilized your site for most of my traveling accommodations. In most cases, I was completely satisfied until recently.
I bided on a one-star hotel in Niagara Falls, New York. I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn. This room was one of the most disgusting rooms I've ever witnessed. I had to request someone to change the sheets because of all the hair and stains.
Most of all, the tub in the bathroom was not only filthy, but the water aggressively poured out all day, not dripped…it ran hard! The tub also had a shinny blue film in it due to the bad pipes and running water which indicates that this has been an ongoing problem for awhile. I reported this to the owner and he stated, “There is nothing I can do about it until Monday". I requested another room and he claimed there were none available. The room also had a horrible odor and dead bugs in various corners of the room.
I attempted to stay at another hotel but most of the decent ones were booked due to multiple conventions in Niagara Falls. I could not stay at the Red Carpet overnight because of the running water and disgusting accommodations so I stayed a relative house and returned to the hotel to shower during the day. Most of all, my foot now has unusual bumps on the bottom due to taking a shower in the hotel. I took pictures of the tub because I knew I was going to report this issue.
About four months ago after bidding on Priceline, I had to stay in a hotel similar to these conditions. Most of the hotels located on Niagara Falls Blvd are not only in a high crime area but they also have malicious accommodations. I had my assistant aggressively attempt to contact Priceline on October 17th but the number provided kept leading to recorded messages.
On Monday, October 20th, I spoke with a Priceline customer care representative to resolve the matter. I told customer care about the hotel stay and my difficulties with communicating with Priceline. She called the hotel owner and he stated that he would not assist me with a refund. I then called the hotel myself and the owner would not let me speak but insisted on talking down to me. He stated that there was nothing he would do to help justify the matter. He also yelled and mocked me and said that I was “whining" about the conditions of the room.
I don't normally go this far to justify a matter. I will not pay for a doctor visit due to the negligence of a business owner that has no regard for human dignasee. I understand that a one-star hotel doesn't give me the luxury of a Marriott, but Priceline should have some pride in what they offer their loyal customers.

Filthy room and management!
My husband and I went home for a visit with family and went on Orbitz to get a room for our stay. We got a room at Red Carpet Inn in Manheim Pa. The lady at check in told us our room was being cleaned and this was around 11:30 and check in is at 11:00 so we went away for awhile . When we returned and seen the room we almost died it was never cleaned the filth in this room is way beyond any words. This was so Bad the mirrors in the room you could not see yourself and the doors were covered in filth the room smelled so bad you could not breath and there were bugs and dirty linen on the beds the towels were filthy, I could go on about the filth but no one would believe me.We ended up staying with family, but I did call the front desk and tell them I wanted my money back for the next night and I told the management that the room was not fit for any human to stay in, this phone call was made from my cell phone. The next day I got my money from the same lady who said the day before that she was cleaning the room. Then about two hours later this man called me about a note I left in the room about the condition and he started yelling at me and told me if he would have know that I was going to report him he would have not given my money back for one night and he also stated I should stay out of Manheim and a bit more I hung up on him and he called back and started again I told him my number was not given to him and I will call the police if he continues to call it needless to say he got my number from caller ID. I just cannot believe that any Hotel would let this go on , and the filth was just beyond words one light bulb in the dim bathroom other peoples hair in the shower just beyond words. No return of money can makeup for a ruined weekend.

Customer service is crap!
I made a reservation for jacuzzi room three weeks in advance. When we arrived the clerk gave me the keys to little smoking room, I had to ask for my money back and look for place to stay elsewhere. Awful service. I called back to talk to the owner few days later and he started to lie to me that I never had this reservation!
