The night before last I was watching TV when this infomercial camae on about the Red-Set-Go express cooker. It looked very interesting so I continued to watch and it said that if you ordered in the next 18 minutes it would take away one of the three 19.95 payments plus the little fat lady said she would throw in some of her favorite recipes for free. Fool that I am I immediately got their website up and ordered one...after that it suggested that I now ORDER (extra) the very inner pan that they had shown on the commercial...well, that was not Sooo bad so I clicked no and it then asked if I wanted the FREE recipes and of course I clicked YES then it brought up the charges it had just placed on my credit card and with the FREE recipes it now jumped from 56.85 to 71.75...NO mention of seperaating in to two payments...Just we are now putting in your order...I called them immediately but they said they were CLOSED to all business EXCEPT orders until Monday morning...although theeir other phone said open Sunday through Friday. Then I got a thing saying you had to click on the link to verify your order which I did NOT do. But I sent them 2 emails immediately saying they were adding false charges to my account and I wanted to cancel the order...( In very small print under the order it also said that now that I had signed up for the FREE recipes they would be sending me more recipes every month or so and my account would be charged 9.995 PLUS 4.95 shipping IN CONTINUUM...) I called them in the morning and spoke w/"Jim" who assured me tht they would instantly put a stop to the charge and if by error they sent the package to simply NOT accept it so it would be returned to them...I also called Orchard Bank and Sukhendu assured me that he was flagging my account so that if it appeared they would not allow the charge..He also talked me into Credit Card Protection which he assured me would protect me against companies like that !!!.Then I got a funny feeling this afternoon and called Orchard Bank and spoke with Shelley...She said that they had already approved a payment of $74.69 to that company !!! NOW it had jumped from 39.00 plus shipping to $74.69 !!! Theives, crooks and liars...Scam artists and frauds !!! Do NOT click on ANYthing on their Website and don't trust ANYthing they say !!! Also do not trust your bankers to tell you the truth...NOW they had to cancel my card and will (SUPPOSEDLY) get my money back from the crooks !!!
