In the Autumn of 2009 I bought a paddling pool from Redsave.com. It cost about £40. I thought that Redsave.com was just a simple "online" supplier of goods. They confirmed my order by e-mail and there was nothing on that confirmation which aroused my suspicions of a scam happening. I know find out, that by ordering from them I had joined a subscription discount house at a cost of £19.95 per month taken from my credit card. This has been going on for seven months now. I've been in touch withthem by e-mail but am told quite catogorically that I was advised at the time of purchase that I was committing myself to £19.95 "subscription per month. They say that their confirmation clearly states this fact and that I could have opted to cancel this so called "subscription within thirty days. As I had not chosen to do so the "subscription" continues to be taken from my account. There is nothing whatsoever on the confirmation giving this type of information. Needless to say I should have checked my credit card statement more thoroughly over the past months and queried what this £19.95 was for but I didn't and that's my fault. I had no idea that I was entering into any such "subscription" arrangement with Redsave .com or any one else for that matter. I have had to cancel my current credit card to avoid any more payments being taken by REDSAVE PASS . COM. even though I have requested that the "subscription" be terminated. So my paddling pool has so far cost me £220. How do I stop this happening and where do I go from here?
Thank you for any advice that you can give me.
