Founder Louis Gibson a US Marine-- medically discharged after a training accident -- does not tolerate deceit, injustice or corruption. He is polite about it, but can size things up in a second.
At the age of 6 Louis realized the meaning of deceit. He was one of four children growing up in Houston, Texas. He was raised by a father who played sibling favorites and this affected his sibling relationships greatly; this has even led to a profound impact on Louis' personality present day, mainly the expression of higher levels of anger and aggressiveness at times. Louis and his siblings grew apart, similarly to the full grown and full blown relationship in America between the media and the people.
As a young adult, Louis attended Richard Stockton College of New Jersey on a basketball scholarship, displeased with wide disparity of favoritism shown to student athletes over students, he returned to Houston, Texas and joined the Houston Rockets Clutch City Foundation with Calvin Murphy, NBA hall of famer. Playing basketball and coaching the youth was a rewarding experience allowing him to impact the lives of the youth in a small way. Further in community involvement Louis found passion. He created Basketball USA in Houston, Texas to live a legacy and be an example to the youth of America. One great memorable experience was in meeting Julie Blanchard of Katy, Texas. A mother of two very bright and talented children whom Louis coached, she inspired him to be greater than his circumstances. Also he admired the manner in which she interacted with each of her children with equality and fairness.
Louis chose not to live a life reminiscent of complacency. To continue talking to the same people without purpose, succumbing to the same fears, and walking the same paths all his days was intolerable. He made a plan to be great and followed through on this decision by becoming a United States Marine. Later his injuries ended his active military career. Adapting to and overcoming his limitations after serving, he started a business that would make a difference for all Americans, and that would listen to the voice of the people. Now here we are, Redshield America News Network (RANN). Inspired by deceit, injustice, corruption and undue favoritism, this business is an internet platform for the people, broadcasting news that affects the lives of everyday Americans.
