SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, oh and did I mention these are SCAM ARTISTS?

I called to make an appointment AFTER I had done my homework on the ReFirme procedure. I was connected to "Van", "My" "Technician". She proceeds with her sales pitch, less than half of what she stated was actual fact, based on what I had discovered through my prior research, so I just listened to see just how far she would go. When she told me she had the procedure done when she turned 50, now when she goes into "clubs" she's "carded". Ok, I wasn't born yesterday, and certainly NOT stupid. So I continued to listen... then I asked the fatal question about the cost per each procedure, since she "recommended" no less than 6 treatments, based on what I had told her, she had never laid eyes on me at this point, these are her exact words, "The cost is normally $4,500.00 for the package of 6 treatments, but I really like you, and I'll give you coupons when you come in for a $1,000.00 Discount! We have a company that will finance the payments for you, and American Laser Center will pay the finance interest they charge." I then asked, "so, the full package is $3,500.00 for 6 treatments?" with her reply being, "oh, no, I wouldn't do that to you, I'll give you an additional discount when you come in for your first treatment". I told her I want to know BEFORE I start this procedure the EXACT COST as I wanted to pay for the procedures and not get involved with payments to a second party. Her exact words were, "Don't worry about it, I'll take good care of you, I'll give you the best deal". I then asked what the "Best Deal" was, she said she would discuss it when I came in. The entire time during this conversation, I got a very uneasy feeling and told her, I was NOT interested that I had changed my mind. After that conversation, I had 3 different calls from the office in Clear Lake City, Texas stating they were "Van" and wanted to confirm my appointment. None of the people that called me was "Van", I should know her voice after listening to her for over 30 minutes. With each call I got, I told them I had changed my mind, and was NOT interested in having this done. Finally on the Third Call Back, I really lost it! I told her this was the most unethical company I had ever had dealings with, and PLEASE loose my phone number.

The purpose in my comments are to let you know the way my particular situation was handled, and since we live in the wonderful United States of America, we have the right of choice. Be careful of the practice of this company. I contacted a Board Certified Physician and had this procedure done consisting of 6 treatments for $1900.00 in Houston. So, $1,900.00 vs "The Best Deal", but most importantly, putting my trust in a physician really was "The Best Deal" and not in a company that has so many negative reviews and my experience with "Van" on the telephone.
