I was a resident of reflections. As time got tough I was becoming unable to pay my rent and was having problems, I spoke to Janet and she was very cold would not assist in any way at all. Not sure if it was because I was a woman. I’m stating this b/c she is known to favor men in the complex. My neighbor didn’t have his rent and he was able to get away with out paying two months rents before evicted. My privacy was violated on several occasions by employees entering my home with out announcement. they had keys and just came in. during my whole lease the place was supposed to be a gated community the gate was never working the whole time I lived there. No safety everyone had the gate code the amenities never worked properly. Lights in tennis court didn’t work, Jacuzzi temperature control knob did not work. I stated to employees in the office that I would not be renewing my lease. This was my first rental and I wasn’t told it had to be in writing when I expressed my interest in NOT renewing NONE TOLD ME WHAT SHE BE DONE. All they were worried about is me renewing until the day I was leaving. I was told I owed another month rent and etc for not giving 60 days notice. During walk threw my carpet was stained and I told Janet who did the walk through. I received a bill stating my 600 deposit did not cover the carpet to be replaced, mind you the carpet was old used and abused. I’m out of work so I couldn’t pay the remaining balance of 145.00. They sent my debt to MCC collections when I spoke to rep Vasquez he told me the 145.00 are charges for cleaning my apt, trash pick up, back rent, utilities and did not mention the carpet until I told him. He said water and sewage was a total of 56.00. I said how that could be the whole year I live there the water bill was never 56.00. He never mentioned the carpet till I said the bill she be for the carpet Then all of a sudden he found it some where in fine print. I believe the charges are outrageous I cleaned my apt and Janet stated to me that she will throw the garbage bags out b/c of all the stress that was going on with me leaving in the apt. I told her about the man walking in my apt while my grandma was nude practically walking out the shower with a towel and she stated he had the wrong apt it should have been the apt above me. I stated the TV was on there was furniture he should have realized and walked out and knocked instead of standing there. I also had to have my storage door fixed it was broken upon move in. During this process I had no letter or anything stating that someone would come fix it while I was gone and my belongings were gone. I had to call the police thinking someone stole my things. Ended up being the repair men moved my belongings with out telling anyone. I’m upset with the way I was treated and I feel they are just trying to take more from me by charging an extra 145.oo for carpeting according to Janet but according to MCC other water sewage rent trash and apt clean up are included in those fees. I FEEL THAT MY RENTAL; EXPEREINCE WAS HORRIBLE. There was resolution are compromise when speaking to Janet. Also the water from the Jacuzzi ruined my bathing suit. When I spoke to other people in the complex it was stated that they had problems like that and had to write AIMCO and they replaced there bathing suits. I would tell everyone I know not to rent from this location ever. They are all about renting to you once you are in there they do not care.
