Bad after sales service
The refregerator was bought by me on 20th March, 2008, from Technocity, Kolkata. But immidiately within a couple of weeks the lower portion which is inside the second door was not enough cool & it was getting little sweaty, so we complained to the company(complain no. KL0708007146), when the service man came immidiately he put some cotton cloth inside the gascket of the lower door and made my 65 yrs old mother understand that after few months the problem will be over because the gascket on the lower door was a manufacturing defect which he should have detected properly & changed the entire door truthfully but he didn't just to satisfy his company. Now after removing the cloth from the gascket the lower portion is not at all getting cool (complain no. 3074, July 2010). Almost 3 months are over but till today Whirlpool could not solve this problem in a satisfactory manner, service of such a world class company can be so bad which should be noted properly before buying its product. I had discussions with the Deputy Manager Mr. Amit Das (Mobile No. 9231000648) several times and he promised me a lot of things also which he lied to me, and now he never takes my call. If you want you can't even talk to the Manager Kolkata (Kalyan Basu) because his number is not available for customers. Now I am in touch with Mr. Sarat Shaw (Phn No. 64991430) who is ready to arrange for a spare door but he is going to charge for it because the last complain was made just 4 months after the warranty period, but they don't want to realize that for a little amount they will lose at least 100 customers in future because this is India, where controversy travels faster than sound.
