I went for my annual mammography screening and was told to come back for a second screening because 'there appears to be something' on my left breast.
Went back the second time around, and the radiologist tried to find the 'spot' but after poking and prodding for 20 minutes, they still were not able to find it. Until finally I said to them to "stop looking for something that is not there!"
I was billed $225 and $97 for the second visit and my insurance refused to pay 100% and I ended up paying $126.57
I called and complained to the billings department and they informed me that I had a choice of not coming in to do the second procedure but I told her that I was informed that I had a choice. I was instructed to come in because they found 'something'.
I paid the bill but still feels that I was a victim.
