Beware Rejuvenate Buyers
December 30, 2009
Deceptive Advertising
I ordered product on-line, a promotional offer for $9.99 + shipping/handling. Offer included FREE 8 oz. Cabinet Renewer + mitt and a FREE 16 oz Floor Refresher + mop bonnet...JUST PAY SHIPPING AND HANDLING. This raised red flags but I proceeded on in order to check out the additional charges I might be in for. Their website is very deceiving and did not list any shipping or handling charges as I proceeded through the process. I came to a page to "Click to Order" and, thinking I could review the order with the charges enumerated and cancel if I wished to at that point, I proceeded once more. Unlike other web sites that allow this, rejuvenate.com DOES NOT. Suddenly my $9.99 order turned into $38.96. When I printed out their order confirmation there was no breakdown of the additional costs other than a total of $28.97 for shipping had been added. I called the company directly (1 877-959-1234) and did get a live operator who directed me to "Annette" in customer service. She was cordial when asked to run down the details of the order. Turns out the initial $9.99 order comes with a shipping and handling charge of $4.99. The FREE Cabinet Renewer must be really heavy and hard to handle as charges for that FREE 8 oz. bottle were $14.99 ! Then the FREE 16 oz. Floor Refresher also carried S/H charges of $8.99. All together...$38.96 . I'm aware of the chance you take with "handling" costs but this goes beyond the pale. HOWEVER, the primary complaint would be that you have NO CHOICE to view the charges and make an informed decision if you want to pay the exorbitant price. This is deceptive advertising and consumers should be aware that this is the scam this company is pulling. Their come-on advertising sends out red flags in all directions and buyers should be aware of what their getting into. Their web site, however, is unacceptable and should be changed. I cancelled the order via customer service but "Annette" stated she could not process it until the following day since she had not yet received the order in their computer system. I'll have to call back to verify that my credit card charges will, in fact, be reversed. As to the web site deficiencies, she was indifferent about that. I asked if there was somebody else to talk to in regards to lodging a more formalized complaint she stated that she would just make a "comment" in the order form to show the reason for cancellation of the order. Sounds like the product might be a good one, but the company sure doesn't practice ethical business standards, especially when coupled with some of the other complaints I read on this site.

Unauthorized credit card charge
I took advantage of a free product sample and was to pay only shipping of about $6.00 but I was charged $57.90. I called a few weeks ago and finally reached a live person who promised to credit my card, but I have not received the credit and now there appears to be no way to reach a live person.

Does not live up terms and conditions.
Never received product but was charged $49.95. I called to cancel and was told to return product and credit would be issued. Received product two weeks later, charged another $59.70, received second shipment two weeks later and I returned it unopened. I have disputed charges with my credit card company. Another internet scam preying on the belief of endorsement of reputable sources.

product doesn't work and it's a scam
wish i had looked at this website before i ordered the free trial, yeah right! you don't see the fine print till you have been charged $57 . then you get another shipment, charged again. sent it back next day, e-mailed and said never send anymore, haven't got a refund and guess what another arrived in the mail and i called finally got a live person who said they had not been notifed and i said so now i'm charged for the product i sent back and now i gave this co. over $150 for a "free" trial that was supposed to cost $7.95 for shipping and handling? going to call a lawyer tomorrow and have to cancel that credit card. no wonder they're making money. the lady i talked too said i had to cancel by e-mail which i had already done so they might have took me but i'm not having to pay for a lawyer to look into it. i have learned my lesson the hard way and they took money i really don't have .the product came from h&s distribution in southlake, tx. the product does'nt work and it's certainly not worth $57every month. good luck on getting your credit cards credited back ! i wish i could get a lawsuit against them and shut them down.
