For last two months, since I purchased Reliance net connect broadband plus USB modem, it has been proven a nightmare expreience.
The customer care and billing department are just annoying when contacted to correct the bill. Un-fair business practices include:
1. Activating wrong data-plan instead of the one requested at the time of purchase.
2. Mis-guiding customers for "free" one month promotional offer, where as it is hardly for 7-10 days on pro-rated basis. They have a billing cycle ever 10 days.
3. Over billing for some random plan change. I contacted customer care, nodal officer and appellate authority but they do not favor customer concerns. A blind and deaf can understand the billing issue but they simply DO NOT.
4. There has been a good pattern of sending court-orders for payment recovery after such non-sense billing issues. They deliberately do not want to correct such issues because they know a normal customer or common man will not be able to take a stand when he/she sees a "Court order". I think it is how they are generating revenues, and not through their services.
Put your experiences here to let other readers be aware of Reliance business practices and after sales support so that they have a fair picture before proceeding to opt for Reliance.
