Comfort Protection Plan is a SCAM
Reliance Comfort Protection Plan is a SCAM. Reliance sales person sold me the "Comfort Protection Plan". Feb. 2006.
The sales pitch was a pack of lies. She basically said the Furnace and Air Conditioner were completely covered for all repairs @ 15.99 a month. They will send out a repair man and fix any problems. I thought it too good to be true so I asked several questions.
November 2009 (after almost 4 years of payments) the Furnace wouldn't turn on. So I called Reliance, by the time the repair man arrived it was working. But he was quite happy to rip apart our Furnace and tell us it had a cracked heat exchanger and to fix that it was $900.00 so he might as well sell me a new furnace. So, I said when can you fix it, as it was all covered under the Comfort Protection Plan, right?
Wrong! I was now being educated about what it didn't cover, which is basically everything that usually breaks down. I suddenly felt I was in the middle of a SCAM, not only had I been paying 15.99 a month for nothing. But this allowed Reliance to enter my home and further rip me off.
He said, by policy (self serving policy) he would have to disable my furnace. Leaving my family of five without heat! Remember it was working before he arrived.
I don't believe he was honest about the cracked heat exchanger because the furnace is still working.
Reliance - first SCAMMED me out of 15.99 a month for four years, and then used scare tactics to try and SCAM me at my home.
Of course when I called Reliance to complain and ask for a refund of my $15.99 a month for four years. They read from a script deflecting away from the lying salesperson to blaming us for not reading the fine print in the pamphlet they never sent me.
BEWARE OF RELIANCE - they are SCAMMERS.

My Money is Deducted
Dear Sir / Madam
Please Help
I just rechagre my molbile phone On 19/11/2009 Time 2:31 p.m.
and my Rs. 10.00/- is deducted and when I Complaint to custmer care they told me that I had acctivated some thing. I asked them when & what I had acctivated they answered me today afternoon and Some thing acctivated, which I asked them three time I can't hear them properly every time

IMEI Number
Hello,
I have been using the reliance CDMA sim in my handset ' MOTOROLA W362' for last year. Two days ago, I got a msg. and a call as well from reliance which demanded the IMEI Number of my handset but RSN Number not IMEI. I was treatened to block my services if i don't give IMEI Number. I don't have IMEI Number but RSN Number which i can give.
So, please solve this problem and don't make my services blocked.

Talk time is less
I have taken MegaPlan of Reliance in which STD charges are Rs 1 for 3 minutes. I have given 41 Rs and got 10 Rs talktime free with that as in the plan and have taken the Plan.
I have made only one local call of less than 1 minutes and now my balance is coming 0.00 Rs.
My Mobile No of that is 8088559453.
So, I request the service provider to attend this conplaint as soon as possible.

Deduct Rs. 10 after every 10 days
On 22 Sep 2009 Without my permission they activate on mobile “Bakwas Service” and deduct Rs.10, on 23 Sep 2009 I call customer care and deactivate that Service and Customer Service Executive told me that today “Bakwas Service”
deactivate on mobile . On 02 Nov 2009 again deduct Rs. 10 and Customer Service Executive
Service Request no :11424551 and told me that today “Bakwas Service” meanwhile not activate it. On 12 Nov 2009 again deduct Rs. 10 and Customer Service Executive
and told me that you Activate that Service, and I told him I am not interested then why I activate that Service,
Can anyone responsible person in Reliance Customer Service told me that they deduct Rs. 10 lifetime (After every 10 days)

return charges
When we returned our water heater that was 8yrs. old to Reliance home comfort they charged us damage fees of $360.00. The water heater is only 380.00-$400.00 when purchased new. The water heater was working and the damages were only from normal wear and tear. I was told when I complained about these charges that if I had remained a customer they could do something about this but since I was no longer a customer too bad for me pay, pay, pay. This somehow just seems to be a punishment for leaving the company. Is this even legal? Again greed of a company turns on the consumer.

Deducting amount from prepaid Bal without any subscription and after unsubscribing stated deduction for another service./
The company is deducting subscription amount from the prepaid balance without any subscription made by the customer and when talked to customercare they asked to unsubscribe the service when unsubscribed from the service they deducted one month more amount and started deducting for another service i.e. caller tunes this way they have cheated the customer mobile no. 9359342379.<br />
Thou the amount may be small if this amount is they are doing for multiple customers than it is alarming

deactivatin of various schemes
I am really bugged with the way "reliance" is treating! I did not subscribe for various schemes proposed by the company like""...and hence last month around 180 bucks were cut off from my balance...noticing this i requested the customer care to unsubscribe all the mentioned schemes..and i was told that it was mistakenly subscribed by me ...and the the company then promised me to unsubscribe them and noted my complaint that these schemes will not be renewed further...but now i feel cheated when the same thing happend again...around 60 rupees gone again for something i neither subscribed nor am i interesed in!!
Hence, I humbly request you to unsubscribe all the schemes right now and refund the money, closing my all schemes.
I am an army officer...and under my command many jawans have got the same complaint of being cheated by the company!!
request reply earliest or i'll have no option but to go to consumer forum for redressal and all consequential expenditure company will be liable to pay!!
