Remittance fraud
I made transaction on 23rd Sep 2008, Till now i have not received money to my Indian account and also I called customer service and i sent mail, no response and they told will be back in 24Hrs to 48Hrs. Once my US account activated immediately they debited from my account. Now they are playing games with my money.

This is very worst service never I had seen. Best is SBI then ICICI. They are very bad customer support service. They are marketing peoples.

Remit2India is FRAUD
Remit2India is a fraud company, which though show higher conversion price in its site as compared to other money transferred company but do not give the same rate.

I have checked with my two transaction that i had with Remit2India, I continuously watched all 5 days of transaction period for the conversion rate but i got less conversion rate than they claim to be on third day of transaction.

This is my advice not to go with this site since they are making public fool by showing higher rate but the actual rate is always less than they claim.

Smart Cheaters
Hi everyone,
Kindly be aware when u transfer money to india through remit 2india as they are the smartest cheaters u can ever come across. Why are they smart? becoz they never transfer your money at the best exchange rate on a given day. They hold money untill the forex is at its lowest(Forex changes thrice on a given day) and then immediately transfer once the forex falls. So, remit2india makes very good money from ur hard earned money by exchanging the rate for themselves when the forex is high and giving the money to you when the forex is lowest. The difference in the highest and lowest forex is their PROFIT. ( if 1000 people transfer $1000 each on a single day they make profit to the extent of...just imagine a difference of 0.50 paise)
So, whats the best way? Look for citi bank or icici. Atleast they do not make false promises.
Just wondering their smartness in cheating people. If u still want to go ahead i shall wait for your response after a couple of transactions.

Remit2India cheating customers!
This is an experience I wanted to share with a broader community about the ripoff I had when transferring some funds overseas using Remit2India service whose funds transferrer is Citibank. These companies have been taking customers for granted and fooling them with advertising false exchange rates and transferring money at much lower rate than advertised on the website. I transferred $2001 using their service to my NRE account in India on 8th November. However the funds got converted on 13Nov and they have transferred the money @34.38 when it was advertised on the Net @ 35.16.

Upon following this with their team they accepted the mistake over the phone but sent a email telling that they wont transfer the balance. This is just a rip off of innocent customers who falls prey to fraudulent companies like this. I would not recommend Remit2India service to anyone and I would be taking up legal actions against this company so that it doesn't trap any other customers with their false advertisement.

They take Australian customers for granted and don't provide customer service. I have been reading loads of complaints about this company online and its time that some action needs to be taken. I would strongly recommend ICICI Bank's Money to india service as they don't rip off customers like this and provide a much better level of service.

DON'T SEND MONEY OVERSEAS USING www.remit2india.com because next time you wouldn't even know if your money would reach to your loved ones. This company does nothing else except for promising to give better exchange rates and advertise cr*p on their website.

Unsolicited emails
I have received numerous unsolicited emails from remit2India after using there service once. I never subscribed to any email lists nor approved for any emails to be sent to me. I have received emails from them on numerous occasions as well as from tomspecials.com with Remit2India in the subject line as if they sold my information to 3 party sources.

I can't believe this company is getting away with this especially that they deal with highly sensitive personal information that is entrusted to this company.
