Failure to refund money when they could not provide the service.
I paid Remote unlocks $9.99 for an unlock code to unlock mt cell phone. They emailed to say they were unable to provide the unlock code and would refund my money. I has sent 3 follow up emails requesting the refund but no one responds.

Failure to issue refund
I paid through Pal-Pal for Remote Unlocks to provide the unlock code for my cell phone. This was on 12/7/09. On 12/8/09 they sent me an e-mail stating they could not provide the code and would be issing me a refund. I have attempted to contact them on three occasions without a reply. I would not recommend this service...

Scam
Stupidly I contacted this company online to unlock my phone. They promptly charged me thru Paypal and then sent me the following message:-
We have been unable to obtain an unlock code for your phone using the imei number supplied. Although this model is generally un-lockable, there are instances where codes cannot be generated. This is due to unique phone variables and cannot be predicted in our preliminary report.
As an apology for this, we would like to offer you a full refund and a free unlock code for your phone as soon as one becomes available on our database. Alternatively you can use this free credit for an alternative phone.
We would like to offer you a full refund for this and we offer our apologies for the inconvenience.
Refunds are usually processed within 48 hours, however please allow up to seven days for funds to reflect in your account.
I then emailed them to request the refund. And then emailed them again, And then emailed them again. Finally after 5 weeks of hounding them they emailed me back requesting all the details I had already provided 4 times. I then responded to this and they finally processed a refund back to me.
Much too hard and aggravating - I believe they work off a - too hard, customer won't be bothered refund ideal.

Cell phone unlock code rip-off
I paid Remote Unlocks $10 for a code to unlock my GSM phone and use it with a different cell phone company SIM. Instead of the promised unlock code they send me 'good advise' to contact my former service provider for the code. It's a rip-off, scam. Do not waste your money! Remote Unlocks is a waste of time (http://remoteunlocks.net/).
