Service
Car has been with Renault for almost a month, after i did all needed from my side well in advance, as to parts, service booked.
1-Wrong quote, overcharge on final invoice.
2-Damaged the bumper again, that was supposed to be repaired.
3-Have to follow up on my side allways as to progress on way forward.
4-Bad customer service from Parts Manager, and Renault Centurion Dealership in general.
5-Renault Head office, no assistance given, even with an official complaint lodged. No Service
6-Car handed back to me dirty, and i did not take ownership.
7-Wasted my time on numerious occasions, as i travel to them for no reason, just to leave without my car.
8-Money wasted on time, petrol, leave taken.

Only good thing is they gave me a courtacy car, however i had to fight for it.

Poor Service
Having took my Renault Laguna for an MOT and service it was returned with a broken front spring which subsequently damaged the ball joint, and a broken front window regulator, apart from replacing the front spring for half price following four visits they (the dealer) and Renault UK refuse to take any responsibility, saying i should be grateful for the reduced cost of repair and the fact my car is seven years old i should feel lucky!! The reason I have a seven year old car is because I look after it. But Renault don't like that. Do not buy a car or services from Renault - their nothing but rip off merchants. Steve - Lancashire

bad service
on 16th february my rear windscreen smashed. autoglass were called but did not have any in stock. i am now told by renault uk that they will not have any until at least 25th april! and they cannot guarantee that. it means i will have been without a car for nearly 10 weeks. their customer services - joke - apologised but would only offer a service when and if the laguna ever gets fixed. don't ever buy a renault, customer care is non existent.

megane not workikng again
bought a megane with 12, 000 miles on the clock since ive had it done 3, 000 miles and its in the garage again wont start this time battery run flat knocked out all the electrics so couldnt get into the car . problem first started with the radio not working then all electrics seem to come on when the car not in use dashboard lights flash on and off at night, customer service very poor and they look at you like youre mad and the only person in the world with a broken renault, in my opinion they are thieves they dont like complaints about the defective products they sell shame on you renault!!! thought you were a good company instead of wasting money on fancy advertising how about fixing ordinary joe publics cars the ones we rely on !!!

Worst after sale service
In 2008 we bought 2 NIssan Interstars and believed that the service we received from Nissan in the past was great. With a big shock in Oct 2009 one of our vehicles had a breakdown and nobody at Nissan can solve the problem. We as a courier company has lost R400 000.00 in loss of income because of the lack of knowledge to repair these vehicles with 'RENAULT' engines. We have now decided to seek legal advise to sue the responsible parties because we are now paying for vehicles that is a total loss to our Company and will never recommend any one to buy a Nissan or a Renault in South Africa. We have tried our best to try and resolve this problem with NIssan S A. The e-mails that was sent to Nissan was never dealt with properly and nobody seems to care about us as a Company who are now in a process of losing business on a daily basis because of these 2 vehicles being in Nissan Rosslyn's factory for almost 9 months. We could have bought 2 new vehicles for the loss we have suffered.

Disgusted and appalled at Renault
We bought our Renault Megane 1.6 cabriolette in June 2009 from Renault Northcliff & it has broken down numerous of times. 1st, the battery died, which led to the car being towed to Northcliff, this cost R2000, then in October, the clutch broke, so it had to be towed again. We were told to pay R9000, but we then advised Renault Northcliff that our warranty should cover, the car was bought in June and that we would not pay to fix the clutch. Fine, Renault then paid for this after bickering. So now, on 0103 our Gearbox broke. It was towed again, 3 days later we were called & told that we had to pay R24000 as the warranty would not pay cause we didnt fill gearbox fluid. This was after our service done at Renault Northcliff. My fiance went to them & said show me the problem, & he was told that they assumed this was the problem and that they would contact SA warranties themselves. The claim was still declined and now we STILL sit without our car. This is not the 1st complaint, I suggest I get feedback and quick cause this is appauling and pathetic. Pity they do nothing to hold up the French name... sad that people could actually get away by ripping others off - PLEASE CATCH A WAKE UP!

Do not advise any one to buy a Renault
I have a 2004 Renault Megane and you will not believe the mechanicle trouble I have with the car. Cylinders, disks, electronical errors, fuel injection problems etc. I am an single mother with two children and are unable to maintain the car. The value of the car is R93000 but car dealers only offer me R35000 as they say the car has no value. Believe me the parts cost you a fortune. A fuel injection pumb cost R7000. My car had to stand for 3 months as I could not afford some of the parts and have spend R10000 just to get it going again. It is a large investment and the car loses its value so quicly that you are guaranteed owner of the vechile till it is paid. Imagine strugeling for 5 years with a car that robs you of all your life savings and forces you to pay in should have had enough and wanting to get rid. With all the faults my car currently have it will soon be standing permantely. When it goes it is an fantastic car but if it breaks down you are screwd. Now me and my kids will have to walk soon while I still owe the bank a fortune. Renault you will have to do something about the cost of your parts!!! There are more clients that feels this way - just check complaint!!!

Free maintenance plan not free at all
I bought a new car in 2008 and as with every Renault car, it comes with standard free maintaince plan and service plan. But at my second service 30000, my car needed new bulbs and other mantainance issues. I had to pay for this and my understanding was that i did not have to pay for this because i am on mantainance plan. However i was told that i had to pay since the mantaince plan was not loaded on the system when bought the car. The service agent at Renualt Fountains told me that i would be refunded. a year later i am refunded yet. He gave a number for head office and head office send me back to the dealer where i bought the car and when i contacted them they tolf me they would sort it out. i belived them. Last week after realizing that my rear bulbs are dead i took the car in and after leaving teh car at Renault Fountains teh whole day it was not fixed since i would have to pay for the replacement of teh bulbs and other mantainance related issues. The service agent called every one with no success as to what was happening. i evenetaully went to Renualt Centurion and Ansa Muller (New car sales manager) and Etteine (Finace manager) assured me they would sort it out.S

Gross negligence
I took my car to Renault the Glen for my windows to be properly aligned as the rain was coming through on all windows. Instead of doing the job, they broke my window and left the car outside for the entire weekend. With the weather being unpredictable it rained cats and dogs! When i went to fetch a few things in the car the following day the car was full of water. The answer that i got was that the guys at the workshop did TRY to protect the car with plastic covers. I would never recommend anyone to buy a Renault car.
