calling constantly advising me to go to this website
Someone from telephone number 202-683-1404 is continuously calling me advising that this is an office represented through Washington D.C. for grant money available from public, private and non-profit organizations, and further advising that I am eligible for up to $25, 000.00. Message is to either call or go to website to request, etc. Because I am in a bad situation financially (as our at least half of the people of the United States), it would be very easy to fall for a scam like this. These people MUST BE STOPPED!!! What can we do? Please advise.

Scam
I too, received a phone call from this same org.(??) Please give the public notice that this is a complete scam. There are a lot of desperate people out there in need of financial assistance. This is enough to drive some people over the edge. Shame on these disgusting people!

Recieved amessage on my phone from this place. How can we avoid scams on our phones and computers?
In the living situation I am in this breaks my spirit, as I am trying to find help for a place to live right now, and do not have enough funds for a place...shame on these stupid little creeeps!!!

phishing
Having voted for a Grant to be won by Sierra Vista Animal Control for the greatest number of votes, I thought this call might be a way find Grant money for a Grant for a local charity. When searching the Internet for the phone number given, as would be supplied by a legitimate Grantor, I found scam complaints.

Phishing
I noted the complaint on the other page from 8/15/2008. This company is apparently still operating as I just received a call from them. Same scenario: I "qualified" for up to $25, 000 which I would never have to pay back. I could call a phone # they gave (sorry, didn't write it down but it was the 202 area code, I remember that), or go to the requestagrant.com website. Figuring it was a phishing call, I immediately pulled up requestagrant on Google and saw your site. These kinds of things really need to be stopped. There are still too many gullible people out there who will be suckered in.
