SCAM, didn't send us any memberhsip # nor catalogs, etc
We were on Vacation in Dec in Mazatlan Sinaloa Mexico in Dec 2010. On Dec 14, 2010 we were sucked and pressured with a deal too good to be true to purchase a 50 out 0f 100 year membership with La Jolla Boutique Resorts, also known as Residence Club La Jolla, and even saw and visited the units and the so called resort in Mazatlan. We were promised that the first 5 years, that a rental management company operating out of Phoenix (Arizona) Vacation Property Management and is independent from Residence Club La Jolla. This company was the management company who will rent out our UNIT for the first 3 years, and that we would get refunded for the money we don't use for the 4 and 5th year? No timeshare fees, and were on a point week values maybe used any reason. They charged $2725.00 USD on our credit card, because we told the sales rep Victor G and then another smooth taking rep name Christian Tivado that we won't be back to Mazatlan or Mexico for sure in the next 3 years...thus they just reduced our membership cost just like that, while others paid $8000+ and more, as we overhead other consumers sucked into the sale tactic that cost way more than what we paid. We were told if we stayed anywhere in the world for one week the cost is $199/week with VIP TRAVELNET with the option to sell the program minus 5% fee? RCI and HSI was mentioned over and over, and we were promised to get the both colored full catalogs in the mail to Canada within a few weeks, and that we would have our membership info, login ID with viptravelnet, etc...now 3 mths later, we received nothing. No catalogues, no emails, not replies to our emails. And when we wanted to cancel within the 5 business days of signing this contract on Dec 14, 2010...we have heard nothing back from the 5 email addresses we had to send them notification of cancelation, we sent REGISTERED snail mail from Canada to confirm and wanting to cancel this so called travel membership we supposively bought. All postmarked within the 5 business days of course. Still nothing. Our credit card never did show up as: viptravelnet nor La Jolla or Residence Club LaJolla on our statement, thus we never gave the merchant permission to charge such charges on our card. Sadly to this day my RCI and HSI books never came, I can't login into any viptravelnet site, I don't even know what I bought, and have been duped big time by this company. Do not get sucked into this deal no matter what they say. They are no good, and have very shady practices and business and with no replies it proves they are not professional either.
