My wife received an extra charge of $14.95 plus $1.05 in state tax for Residential Email, LLC. We called the company and they tried to tell us that an email address using my name (but not my e-mail) had signed up for the service using her telephone number as a billing address. They also tried to tell us what a good company it was to sign up with and it was a good service. I complained that we never enrolled and they never tried to verify our acceptance of the service by calling us on the phone number that they charged the service to originally. They said that we would be refunded for TWO months because they had already charged us again for the next's month service. They also sent the email confirmation to my real email account and since the phone was in my wife's name addresssed the email to her even though they say that I was the one who signed up. They did give me the email and ip address of the computer that signed up for the service which I will turn in to the Federal Trade Commission. Make sure to get this information because you can use the ip address to track down the computer responsible for the initial sign-up.
