This company had supplied table tops for a hotel. Sixty in total. All the specifications were given and test samples were supplied for testing. The samples were tested for resistance to stains such as coffee and tea. The samples had passed all the tests. The material used was recommend by the Chinese supplier from the Foshan (Guangdong province) region of China. Usual payment terms were honoured and paid in good faith. The result was that the tabble tops badly stained and stains were not able to be removed.
After numerous complaints for the poor quality tabletops being supplied, the company in question has said that they will not replace the tabletops. Pictures and actual samples were sent for their consideration to do the honourable thing. Again they had refused. Contact was made to the local Foshan government to lodge a complaint. The government had said that there was no such department. Which is unusual. They had recommended that we take the company to court.
Could someone have a suggestion/contact details of a sympathetic Chinese government body that will listen to our side of the story? This company should not be allowed to export. Their arrogance is unbelievable.
