Medical Aid - Ignorance & "Behind with their work"
After numerous attempts for over two months of changing our banking details, adding our newborn son, queries regarding outstanding claims and phone calls to be returned, the consultant i finally got through to after holding the line for more than 30 minutes at a time listened to my complaint and only replied by saying that the reason for the above mentioned not being done is because they are "back logged" meaning behind with their work. We have made so many phone calls to them and as i said holding the line for more than 30 minutes at a time and sent through e-mails containing our changes and queries requested by the consultants and each time they just say that they will phone me back and make the changes, the changes have still not been made. When i asked to speak to a manager or for them to give me a e-mail address where i can send my complaint to, this information was unavailable to me. What do i? We are paying for a medical aid who provides no assistance in any way, we would like to change our medical aid to a new provider, but we can not cancel our medical aid because there are still outstanding claims to be paid from them, and we are afraid that they will fail to pay this once we submit our cancellation. My concern is that my son is over a month old now and still not on medical cover, if something aught to happen to him (God forbid) what do we do, we took out this medical cover and it is costing us an arm and a leg for this, so that we would not have to worry ourselves with the "what if's" in life...they are deducting our premium from the incorrect banking account and we have to do an eft payment each month, we are receiving unpaid accounts which they do not notify us abaout...i don't know how to resolve this matter...
