Selling timeshare!
Resort Equity Marketing is a company that will offer to sell your timeshare for a fee and guarantee's that they will sell it for you within a time period and if not you have certain guarantee's that you will receive. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!! Do not pay the huge fee- they will expect you to call every 30-60 days to repost your ad and no one sees it since it is on a website with hundreds of other postings! They did not sell my property in fact I didn't receive ONE call!! Then when I went to look for my property on their website I couldnt find it without a listing number! Who has a listing number except the owner?? This is no way to sell a timeshare. I then requested my money back and the company was rude and refused to work with me. After a year of trying to work with them I filed a complaint to the BBB and they still refused to work with me. Again- DON"T DO BUSINESS WITH RESORT EQUITY MARKETING!!

Scam timeshare resale
This company guarantees that they will sell your timeshare within 180 days and if they don't do it you will receive all sorts of 'freebies' DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. This is a total SCAM! They claim to advertise the sale of your property in several different ways but all they do is post your ad on their website; when you look on their website for your ad you can't find it without a listing number. Who has this listing number you ask- you do and no one else! They hounded me until I signed on with them, required a large 'fee', made all sorts of promises and guarantees and then didn't explain their basic requirements to keep my ad running- I had no idea that I had to call them every 60-90 days to repost my ad!! I finally called them (I know it was within the first 90 days) to find out what was going on with my ad and they told me that the ad had been dropped!! They then reposted it and after a year of calling I finally gave up and called them to ask why I hadn't received one call from any interested party to purchase my timeshare! Then when I inquired about the guarantee's they told me that I didn't call at the allotted time so all guarantee's were voided. I asked for my money back for services not rendered and they ignored me. I filed a complaint with the BBB and again they refused to work with me. Just do yourself a favor - if you want to sell your timeshare work with a reputable company NOT Resort Equity Marketing!!

not fulfilling contract
Told me that for a fee they would market and sell my time share. I have never seen any proof of their attempts to sell my property.
Then it turns out they have this clause in the contract that they owner must call them every 90 days to renew their ad. I have gotten many calls, since my dealings with REM, from companies making similar claims. They all want money up front to sell the property. No one will take a cut of the sale once sold. Some even go as far as saying they have a buyer already and just need you to sign a contract and pay a fee. Most of these companies are PO Boxes only and have a F rating with BBU. When I call REM to renew my ad, I was 1 to 2 weeks late and was told by the manager, Andrew Traxler, that they did not have to renew my ad because I was late. I became angry because once again I realized That I was being taken, and then Mr Traxler informed me because I was rude to him, they would no longer handle my business. I reiterated "That because I got angry at you, will will not run my ad" and he said, "yes, exactly".
They took my $499. and showed no proof of trying to sell my property in any way. They count on the consumer notifying them late so they can not renew the supposed ad.

Rip off
We are nearing ONE YEAR and have received ZERO phone call related to the sale of our Orlando property. Resort Equity Marketing (REM) charged us over $1000 to list property with CLAIM it would be sold within 180 days. NOTHING. We got the credit for property not being sold of about $1000 - problem is the products listed for $50 can be brought at Dollar Store for a DOLLAR. AND then we would be charged a PER ITEM cost to process which was more then we would pay at Dollar Store.
AND they seem to sell our name and property info.
PLEASE Avoid Resort Equity Marketing AT ALL COST !!!

SCAM ARTISTS FOR Timeshares
Mark Snyder persistantly called during the month of Oct 2009, stating their company was one of the best to advertise renting your timeshare for these BIG
corporations to have places to stay during their big year end meetings. Said he could set up a booth at the Florida Convention Center and advertise our property with
Wyndam. We like everyone was very hestitate: we rec'd the contract, signed it, sent LOTS OF MONEY and have heard nothing from anyone. Ours was a 90 day promise to have someone rent our timeshare. We have heard nothing from them, BUT ARE GETTING LOADS OF PHONE CALLS asking us to SELL OUR PROPERTY ... we are not interested in selling. This company MUST BE TURNED OVER TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Our document was signed by Johnny Bryant Director of Administration.

scam
Do not be suckered into this deal!
Resort Equity Marketing will call you offering to pay you much more than you paid for your vacation rental . The only catch is that you have to pay the company money upfront to "pay for the marketing."
Unfortunately, that is the last time you will hear from them and the last time you will see your money.
Just say NO!! when they call. Don't be scammed like I was. Remember the old adage: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Took money, did nothing
Resort Equity Marketing called me and made promises to me that they would get my unused RCI weeks rented. They charged me an upfront fee of $1100 and said it was guaranteed. I received the paperwork which I signed and returned and kept waiting for something that reflects the guarnteed they spoke of and also mentioned on the Paperwork. Nothing ever received mentiong what that gurantee was. Now a few months later I can not get a response back from them. I am sure I am not the only idiot that has given them money and saw no return as promised.

Timeshare rental
They took my 350$ upfront guaranteeing to rent my timeshare in Mexico within 6 months or they would give me an online $1000 shopping spree. After 6 months of no rental calls, I requested the spree. When they insisted that I wait for the cert # and password in the mail it seemed fishy but I waited. When I accessed the Select Your Gifts website to redeem my $1000.shopping spree I found out that almost everything listed had an S & H fee of 25-50% of the items listed price which was about three times its actual value plus a $5.00 fee for each shipment. Looking through the website it had predominantly junk which was not worthl the S & H fees and that I could not use at all. I believe that this is a scam and initially, when I talked to the Customer service manager he kept saying again and again that the property would rent very quickly (a couple of weeks at most). A couple of months later he had left the company and a women was in his place, a couple of months after that another man replaced her as she had also quit the company. This company does not seem kosher and when I requested a refund they said my revocation period had expired. I got no calls or offers to rent my place for the 6 months it has been on the website and I do not believe that anyone tried to rent it for me as agreed.

charge a fee to sale time share in 180 days , it never happen
We listed our time share with this company with the gurantee that they would sell it in 180 days and if not we would get a $1000.00 to spend on merchandise neither of the above has happened . we have the contract stating this claim. So nothing has changed with this company, they are still scraming people out of there money and also we paid them 500.00 with a credit card we have the copy of the transaction. we should be issued a refund.
