Creepy Incident in Resort Hotel Room No. 2124 on 23 May 2009
On 22nd May 2009, my family and friends check-in to three rooms in Resort Hotel at about 8p.m.. At the check in counter, we were given the connecting room at 2nd floor which is the old room without renovation. We made a special request for first, a newly renovated room and second, a connecting room when BOOKING placed. Upon check in, we were told the newly renovated room is NOT available AND it is GIVEN on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. Even though BOOKING was made very much earlier together with the above requests. [Fortunately we were not told that booking is on a first come first serve basis even though we had a BOOKING earlier and therefore we don’t have a room now.] Unless we don’t mind sleeping at the roadside, we had no choice and were FORCED to take the room at second room i.e. room 2124.
After one night of good pain and suffering (can’t sleep because of the noise, the hot water take centuries to hot and and and worst of all, water in the bathing room just splash to the whole bathing room making all our clothes and towel wet when we took bath), on 23 May 2009, we change our room to room 10141 and 10139 (two connecting room). To cut the story short, at around 10p.m., I remembered I left my Chinese medicine in room 2124 and called up housing keeping if I can collect it back. I was told there is nothing in the lost and found list for room 2124 and the maid who cleaned the room has gone back. I was asked to CALL BACK tomorrow morning when she returned to work. A shocking couldn’t care less remark made by Usri even though I stressed that the medicine is seriously needed by me every night. I suffered another night of pain and suffering due to the cold weather without the Chinese medicine.
The next day, I approached the check-in counter and convey my message to Ms Safura about the Chinese medicine which I want to claim. I was make to wait for a good 20 minutes and when I asked her how long more I need to wait; she replied ‘I DON’T KNOW, you can sit there.’ Pointing her finger at the couch in front of the check-in counter which is all FULLY OCCUPIED. [I cannot be standing there without knowing how long more I have to wait, right? I have waited for more than 20 minutes, We have tight schedule. My kids and other family members are hungry, after lunch they want to enjoy themselves again at the theme park, we need to reach the airport before 6pm to catch a flight at 7.30pm by one of our family members. TIME is running out.] I ask “Can you inform your manager that I want to see him?” she replied “I inform you now that I will inform my manager.” Then she picked up the phone and start talking in the phone indicating to me that she is sorting out my matter or calling her manager. ?!. I ask a front desk staff standing next to her if his manager is around, less then 2 minutes, the Manager, Mr Billy stand right in front of me and listen to my problem. With regard to my Chinese medicine, a strange situation happen whereby, just because I forgot to keep it and left it in room 2124 under the pillow I slept the night before, it DISAPPEAR. Just disappear. As conveyed to me by Mr Billy and the house keeping executive. Perhaps you would have a better idea how it WILL disappear?! I am now FORCED to accept that creepy incident do happen in Resort Hotel.
Finally, the above creepy incident would not have happen if Resort Hotel staff would be responsible enough to give us the newly renovated connecting room according to our booking request. We just want to enjoy and relax our holidays, that is all we wanted!!!
Note: I had checked in to room 10138 and have an exchanged of room with the above room numbers.
