We contacted Revamp It for repairs that had to be done to our roof, as well as bargeboards which had to be replaced. One of their market managers came to our house and gave a quotation. Although the quote was a bit high, we accepted it after he assured us of the excellent quality of their products and also a 5 - 10 years guarantee on all their work.
The work was completed on the 4th of March 2010. During May, after a few showers, we noticed that the roof in the courtyard was still leaking and the paint on the bargeboards were washed off in places.
We contacted them about their bad workmanship and asked them to fix it. To our surprise we found out that first of all, the bargeboards are not covered by the guarantee and furthermore we have to pay an inspection fee of R500.
According to us, we paid for the roof to be sealed and painted and for the bargeboards to be replaced and painted. They did not do what they were paid for, so why do we have to pay a further R500 for them to have a look at it?
They also refuse to give us the said market manager's particulars in order for us to contact him directly.
