False advertising/Deceptive business practices
BUYER BEWARE! Do not use Ridesafely.com

On 4/15/11 I purchased a vehicle from Ridesafely.com that was not as advertised and I'm asking for a full refund due to the following.

1. Vehicle was not disclosed as non-running.
2. Vehicle was listed in a 3rd party non-running vehicles exclusive auction, also not disclosed.
3. Ridesafely staff rebuffed my attempts to check and confirm information on the vehicle during several conversations while having information stating otherwise.
1. When I asked staff implied I could drive the vehicle home today.
2. Would not provide vehicle's location, phone number for vehicle location, address for vehicle location, or name of real vehicle auction company preventing me from confirming cars stated condition.
5. At 1:18pm ridesafely sent an email entitled “RIDESAFELY : Vehicle ready for pickup”. No mention that DMV paperwork or a dealer plate was necessary.
6. Additional damage not stated on vehicle information. Including electrical and interior damage.
7. I found out after the fact that “Start Code: WON'T START” was listed on iaai.coms site for this vehicle where ridesafely takes information for it's own site but, chose not to include this fact.

In addition iaai staff informed me ridesafely was using and altering their copyrighted images without permission. Including the image attached.

Do not put the title of this vehicle (Inv. #XXXXXX) under my name. I'm asking for a complete refund including any broker or transfer fees since this vehicle was not as stated. Branch Manager XXXX XXXXX of iaai.com said he would agree to store the car on their lot for free until this matter is resolved on your behalf. He also offered to re-list the vehicle for ridesafely at no charge to help recoup any loss if any. Please, this was my life savings. This was to be my car to get me from work to home and back. Had I known what you knew, car doesn't ran and was listed in a non-working car auction by a 3rd party, I would not have bid on this vehicle. I was prevented from contacting the actual seller iaai.com until all paperwork and funding was completed preventing me from confirming important facts on this vehicle. I will not be using your website or services again. You may contact XXXX XXXXX at XXX-XXX-XXXX.

Please contact me so we can get this resolved quickly.

INTENTIONAL MISREPRESENTATION
RideSafely.com is an online vehicle auction house that supposedly acts as the clients agent for insurance/repo vehicle auctions.
RIDESAFELY is guilty of INTENTIONAL MISREPRESENTATION & FRAUD by making statements concerning a motorcycle I purchased via auction. They work with COPART who is also guilty of MISREPRESENTATION. Specifically, both of their websites listed a 1997 Suzuki Intruder 800 as "starts & drives". All of the pictures shown display a motorcycle in very good condition with no visible damage. RideSafely refused to give me any additional information about the vehicle, the auction location or auction house so I could do due dilligence. They required $400 up front deposit, would not disclose the other bidders, or vehicle history. I was able to obtain the vin # and paid for a vehicle history which was clear and free of any accidents. Only when RideSafely received a wire transfer for the winning bid PLUS A HEFTY FEE OF $600, would they tell me where the vehicle was. When the freight transporter arrived, he found upon inspection that the front wheel was trashed making the vehicle impossible to drive!!! He then took pictures and called me immediately from Coparts parking lot. I called CoPart & RideSafely and they immediately tried to blame the driver. When they realized that I had proof that the vehicle was NOT DRIVABLE, they tried to blame each other. I called RideSafely back, asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on 3 different times. Finally, after many emails I got RideSafely to admit that the vehicle was NOT DRIVABLE. Instead of offering to resolve the problem, they said what they meant was that "If I wanted to spend the money to fix the vehicle then it was drivable" Well hell, then any vehicle is drivable if someone wants to spend enough money. THIS IS STUPIDITY AT ITS FINEST.

I HAVE SINCE CONTACTED ATTTORNEY'S IN PENNSYLVANIA TO OPEN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST RIDESAFELY & COPART FOR INTENTIONAL FRAUD & MISREPRESENTATION.

I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN CHEATED TO EMAIL ME WITH THE DETAILS OF YOUR EXPERIENCE. I WILL COMPILE THESE AND TURN THEM OVER TO THE ATTORNEY. EMAIL: [email protected]

THESE UNETHICAL COMPANIES CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO CHEAT HONEST, HARD WORKING PEOPLE. THEY MUST BE STOPPED!!!

Fraud and crooks
I recently purchased a vehicle for the first time online from ridesafely. I did not realized what a scam they are. I bought a 2009 BMW 328i with 2253 miles for $18, 000. The car looked perfect on the picture with minimal dent to the left door. It stated previous repair/savalged. When I received the vehicle I was shock to see that it not only had a front collision but all they did was place a new bumper in the front of the vehicle and never replace any of the damage parts. The car had front xenon lights one side and non xenon lights on the other which on the picture they had a closeup of the xenon light. It has a radiator that was broken and not even hooked up to any hose or belong to that vehicle. The frame was never align or repair. The car had no airbags but they did put a steering vehicle cover making it look like they replaced it. All they did was to make sure the picture looked great but absolutely no repair or replacement was done to the vehicle. I got robbed. I have taken it to three different repair shops and they stated 10K, $12K and the dealership as for $20K to repair the damages. If someone could help me sue I would be greatly appreciated.

FALSE STATEMENTS
I purchased a vehicle thru this online website that stated in the description the vehicle " runs and drives". The decription also stated that this vehicle had " Previous repairs". When I arrived to pickup the vehicle I noticed that the lower radiator hose was cut off and therefore had not a drop of coolant. As I inspected further, I found that the wiring at the front of the vehicle was damaged and disconnected from several items. Also, the seatbelts would not move, indicating they had not been replaced after the pretensioners were activated by a front impact air bag sensor. All of the instrument panel warning indicators were lit up, emissions, air bag, traction control, restraints. When a vehicle is listed as previous repairs, I would consider a repair when something is actually fixed or repaired, not just made to look good in a picture. There are many more items that need replaced on this vehicle that I wil not list, but I consider the listing as FRAUD. How can a vehicle be listed as, RUNS AND DRIVES" and have the lower radiator hose cut off? I wonder how long the vehicle was ran without coolant by the transport company?

Rip off
BID ON A SUZUKI GT650 2008 AND SEND COMPLETE PAYMENT. (THEY CHARGE $100.00/DAY LATE PAYMENT). PICK-UP MOTORCYCLE AT RIDESAFELY SOUTH, 4224 SHACKLEFORD RD, NORCROSS, GA 30093. I NOTICE THAT THE BIKE WAS NOT A SUZUKI GT650 2008. THE VIN # WAS THE SAME. THE BIKE WAS A HYOSUNG GT650 2007. I WAS TOLD TO CALL RIDESAFELY AT PHILADELPHIA FOR ANY CLAIM SINCE THE GEORGIA FACILITY IS ONLY FOR STORAGE AND THEY CHARGE $60.00/DAY IF THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT THERE. SAME DAY I CALLED 1-215-289-0300 IN PHILLADELPHIA AND THEY SAID THEY DO NOT GUARRANTEE ANYTHING AS EXPLAINED IN THEIR WEBSITE. I TOOK THE MOTORCYCLE AND DECIDED TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER WHEN IN FLORIDA. I CALLED AGAIN TO RIDESAFELY OF PILADELPHIA AND EXPLAINED THAT I BID ON A SUZUKI GT650 2008 AND OBTAIN A HYOSUNUG 2007. THEY INDICATED THE SAME STORY, THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLY FOR ANYTHING. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR AND THEY JUST TOOK MY NUMBER TO CALL ME BACK. AT THE END OF THE DAY SOMEONE CALLED SAYING IT WAS THE SUPERVISOR AND WITH THE SAME VOICE OF THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE MESSAGE, SHE REPEATED THE SAME ARGUMENT. THIS TIME I INDICATED THAT THIS CASE WILL BE SEND TO COURT. SHE REPLY, DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT TO DO. THE PAYMENT FOR THE VEHICLE WAS SENT TO RIDESAFELY OF FLORIDA, INC., 3600 NW 95TH ST. SUITE "C", MIAMI, FL 33147. I CALLED THIS OFFICE AND THEY TOOK THE INFORMATION FOR A SUPERVISOR TO CALL BACK, BUT THEY NEVER DID CALL BACK. CALL AGAIN TO GET TO FIND OUT ABOUT THE TITLE THAT I HAVE NO RECEIVED, AGAIN THEY TOOK THE NUMBER TO CALL ME BACK BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENNED. THIS IS A SCAM. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY IT IS THE LOWEST OF THE LOWER.

THEY ARE THIEVES.

Iinaccurate representation of product
Ride Safely sells vehicles by auction on line and claims you are buying directly from the insurance auction. They refuse to disclose the Vehicle Identification Number or who or what you are bidding against or even verify the mileage. They also tell you they cannot get you a damage report so at least you know what you are dealing with. At the last second they will call you up and try to extract more money as if to show you how hard they are working for you but you still do not know who is bidding against you.
In my case I purchased a salvage Toyota Prius that they claimed was repairable and it is not. By the way I have done this type of transaction before so I do have prior experience and knowledge about this process and business. My previous deals were all successful and the vehicles are safely on the road.
This situation was unacceptable because the vehicle is not repairable. The treatment I received from this company was they were always right and I did not know anything. If they could extract another dollar they did. If you would like an exercise in frustration and bureacracy this is a good company to deal with.
