Peter Bowen of Ridge Meadows Music & Lessons has created a website to offer music lessons in violin, fiddle and guitar out of his Maple Ridge, BC home. Mr. Bowen has an extensive history of violence toward women and children that resulted in numerous incarcerations over the past 25 years. He terrorizes women by threatening to harm/rape/kill their children and in the past, has been both charged and convicted for various offences including assault, assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, harassment, breach of probation. He most recently emerged from Fraser Regional Correctional Centre in September of 2007 where he'd served over 3 months for assault and breach of probation. He has outstanding warrants for his arrest in both Alberta and Ontario. His criminal history in BC can be found on the Court Services Online website which is administered by the Ministry of Attorney General.

Mr. Bowen states on his website that he has been "teaching for the past 25 years". This is a lie! He has been either incarcerated, working in entry level positions or living on Social Assistance for the past 25 years.

He states on his website that he was with the Kamloops Symphony for 2 years. This is a lie! He played 2 concerts with the Kamloops Symphony and received the proverbial boot from them when one of his trials for assault was printed up in the local newspaper.

He states that he has numerous credentials such as ARCT, LRAM and Bachelor of Music - this is quite possibly a lie but remains an unknown.

Mr. Bowen's propensity for violence involving women and children needs to be well-considered before leaving a child unsupervised in his presence.
