Being billed for a product that pops up as a free ring tone by my underage child!
My 12 year old had a free ringtone deal pop up. My two kids went into the site on 11-25 to check it out. They canceled out of the site when they found out it carried a 9.99 fee. When the 9.99 showed up on my alltel bill as third party billing I called alltel who couldn't remove the fee and they suggested calling ringaza. They told me even though my kids logged in and out they could still charge me a subscription fee of 9.99. If they are receiving ten dollars per child who looks into this so called free sight. I feel that this is A TOTAL SCAM!

charges for ringtone service I never signed on for
I thought I had gotten them to "unsubscribe" me last month via text message, but there was another charge this month. This is all for a service I never signed on for! The Better Business Bureau needs to be brought into this somehow.

Cell phone charges!
Like others who are complaining about Ringaza, I apparently inadvertently signed up for this service online, and there is NO way to get rid of the charge. Verizon says that they cannot take it off their bill because it is a third party charge, and the "service" rep at the Ringaza company just repeats over and over that there is no way to remove the charge (of course, there is ALWAYS a way, it is just that they choose not to, and apparently can get away with it). Since the rep I talked sounded like he was in India, earning peon wages, I don't even think I am wasting much of the company's money by using that rep's time, as a previous complainer recommended. I canceled the service the first day, as soon as they started text messaging me, so I hope I will not get any more bills, but I'm not counting on it...

Irresponsible Business Practices
I argued with these people for 45 minutes and went through 2 people to get my $19.98 back from them. Which of course I knew they weren't going to give it back because a company that makes money scamming people wont make any money unless they are scamming people.
So I found my own way of getting back at them. I figure that if one of the 2 employees that I was talking to was a supervisor then he probably makes around $16 and hour working at a call center. The other person below him probably makes aroun $9 an hour. So I wasted 45 minutes on the phone with them arguing. So the company wasted $12 paying that supervisor and $6.75 paying the regular employee for a grand total of $18.75 that I forced the company to pay to its employees in wasted time. :)
I encourage everyone to waste as much time on the phone with them as you can (providing this is time that you wouldnt be spending doing something more productive) It's fun. Plus if you can really upset one of the employees and make them cry and get them to quit their job then you should pat yourself on the back because you just wasted a bunch of company money on resources. They would have to replace the employee "time spent" ad's, paper work, insurance, man power... This stuff adds up.
Have fun wasting their time :)

False charges on cell phone bill for ring tones
For the 2nd time we have been charged for ringtones from Ringaza for ringtones that we have not subscribed to receive. They refuse to take this charge off of our cell phone bill, but can't provide proof that we actually subscribed. Alltel tells me they can do nothing about this that once these ringtone companies get a hold of your cell phone number they can charge whatever they want to your cell phone bill. I would like to know how this company can continue to get by with this type of scam.

Rip off scamming company!
We were charged 9.99 on our alltel bill for ringaza alerts. We did not order this service, the phone that the ringtone is said to be on cant even get ringtones. I called the company to get a refund and they would not comply. Alltel says they cannot refund me because this is a third party fee. I just received my bill yesterday and i was again charged the 9.99 fee even though i called to have this service removed 3 times. This is soo aggravating and i don't know what to do to be able to insure i will not get charged again. I have turned this company in to the better business bureau and have received a response from the company, but basically saying that there is no way that a customer could be charged for something they did not order. But i did not order this service and i did not receive the service they are saying i ordered. In spite of everything, i still have no ringtones to show for the 9.99 i have to pay, twice.
My advice in this case of this rip off scamming company is to turn it in to the better business bureau. That is the only way for anything to happen to companies like this. Otherwise they will continue to rip people off forever.

Charged 9.99 for no reason!
I have a myspace account to kept up with my large family. I got an email on myspace from my cousin which said, "Umm, I found this video of you, check it out." Because I know of no video of me on the internet, I clicked on it (I'm usually reluctant to click on things but this from from a family member!). When I clicked on this link it directed me to freakingstupidlive.com (which has now been removed from the internet). Somehow I unintentionally signed up for this Ringaza ringtones for 9.99 per month. I called them the same day to dispute and no one would help. I spoke with Luke @ 866-616-6076 and he told me that the owner is Roger Logie @ 12310 Pinecrest Rd, Suite 306 Reston VA. They operate under Opera Telecom USA. Fight the charges. Do some research and contact Roger...I bet you'll have luck. I was so mad I went to & on your side, here in Wash DC... waiting to hear back if they'll research illegal/irresponsible business activities. I told the call center at the number above that I was filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they stopped answering their phones all together. Good luck and I hope I can make this company change their sneaky ways.

Unnecessary charges on my phone bill!
This is the second month that I'm getting $9.99 from ringaza on my Alltel bill. I was mislead by a free ringtone ad on-line. I was NEVER told that I would be charged for the service. This is a total rip off. I don't even have the bloody ringtones that I was promised. Alltel is telling me that they can't do anything about the service and I don't know how to contact anybody from ringaza.
Beware!
