Overcharges
I am on a state funded pharmacy program. rite aid in cookeville tn told my the prices are valid. I was supposed to pay a copayment of $3 for each med. I paid (cash) for my meds $198 for one and 129 for the other for 3 months in a row. they found the mistake on their computer but said that corporate would handle it a regional manager called and said that in order for them to pay me back that they would have to wait for the insurance company to them. They make 17 billion dollars a yyear and they can't pay me back? this in unconscionable.I called the insurance co today and they told me that rite aid had'nt even submitted aclaim yet this 3 wks ago very sorry cust service. I actually had to get off of one other med because I couldn't afford the (erroneuos) $243 that rite aid was overcharging me .this is pretty sorry. "with us it's personal" thats their new mantra. yeah, right I will conact the states atny gen office neaxt

Pharmacist Alan Baker
On 10/16/09 I walked into the Cedar Knolls, NJ Rite Aid Pharmacy. I dropped off a prescription for my husband and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. So I walked around the store and shopped a bit. I finally returned to the pharmacy and asked the tech about the prescription. The pharmacist Alan Baker proceeded to throw the prescription at the tech to return to me and while walking away from me, stated that he could not fill the prescription because I had altered the script and it was too soon for insurance to cover. He was back behind a high wall and I could only see the top of his head. I told him that I had done no such thing and that he had no right to accuse me of that. I started to ask how much it would cost with the insurance. Without coming back to the counter to address me, he stated (from behind the wall) that he wouldn't fill it anyway because I altered it and that my husband should have enough of this medication and that no one is in that much pain. I informed him that he has no idea what kind of pain my husband is in, what his medical condition is or that it was in his power to make a subjective decision on someone he had no background on. I was livid. I called my husband and left the pharmacy without the medication. When I got home, I called the pharmacist back to ask for a number to complain about his service. He stated that he is the supervisor and that there is no one over him and that there is no number to call to go above him. He hangs up. So my husband calls and speaks with the Assistant Store Manager. He is absolutely useless and has no information about where to call for complaints. The Assistant manager hangs up on my husband. My husband has had 3 surgical procedures in the past three weeks in very sensitive areas. He has been to the ER in the past week and had a surgical procedure done with the GP in that past two days. He is also in end stage renal failure with chronic infections, fevers, and cramping. So not only did the pharmacist insult me by accusing me of altering a prescription, but he made a snap judgement on my husband's condition and without a medical degree, decided that my husband had enough pain meds. Also, I waited for a prescription that was not going to be filled. If they can page each other over the intercom to do a return up front, they can't page me to tell me that I didn't have to wait because they weren't going to fill it. I understand the regulations surrounding controlled narcotic medications. I was not offended that he could not fill the prescription. I was offended that this pharmacist wouldn't talk to me face to face. Instead of just explaining the situation, he chose to accuse me and walk away. And then he wouldn't give me a customer service number. The best part is that the prescription could have been filled in two days, which I did not know, and instead of telling me that, pharmacist Alan Baker opted to make an ignorant decision and talk down to me, accusing me of a crime and then not having the decency to explain/talk to me like two mature adults. I will never return to this pharmacy. I will tell everyone else I know not to go to this pharmacy. The level of arrogance of the pharmacist and his need to dictate, not communicate, with his customers is alarming and disgusting.

Terrible company
I am a shipping receiving manager and I was checking in some product when the lid jammed into my armpit. The next day the pain and swelling in the area was unbearable so I went to the doctor who prescribed an antibiotic and a pain killer.

I went home and started the medication. The next morning I went to take some more and noticed that the pills looked exactly a like. So in 3 hours I took 3 antibiotics and no pain killers luckily what if I would of taken 3 pain killers instead.

Rite Aid has said they would fix the error but what if I was not able to due to not getting the right prescription to begin with and would of actually gotten sick or worse. This is not the first time we have heard or experienced errors made by RiteAid and we will not get our prescriptions filled there again.

Rude manager
On August 20th I went in to have a half dozen rolls of film developed. I chose this location as I had actually worked at this particular store several years before while in college. The photo lab manager there had trained me, and now that I am a graduate and no longer working in a photo lab, he is the only person that I will trust with my film. When I arrived, he wasn't there which normally isn't a problem, I just fill out a photo envelope with "LEAVE FOR MARTY" scrawled across it. On this occasion however, the photo lab envelopes had fallen off the counter and into the closed off lab. The store's assistant manager, Simone, walked by me several times, obviously in a foul mood. I asked her if there was anyone scheduled in photo that day, to which she replied, "no" and proceeded to walk away. I decided my best course of action was to ask her to get one of the envelopes for me so that I could submit my order. She told me that Rite Aid "won't take your film". I asked if that meant they no longer processed film, and she told me, "not your film". After this I called the company's 800 number, and spoke with a very nice agent who told me that management would be contacted and that I would receive a phone call. Sure enough I received a phone call from the very flustered store manager a few days later. He offered to develop ONE roll of film for free and asked if this was an acceptable solution. I stated it was not because I had tried to drop off 6 rolls of film, and also wanted an apology directly from Simone. I was told in no uncertain terms that Simone did not want to appologize and I could take or leave the one roll offer as developing that many films is "expensive". I told him this was not acceptable, and he said someone else would be contacting me. Later that day, I was contacted by a rite aid customer service rep and was asked if the response to my complaint was acceptable. I told her it was not and was immediately hung up on. In the mean time, not trusting any other local labs with my images, I have sent the film to A+I, a professional lab in California, and am paying $13.49 per roll to be developed instead of Rite Aid's $7.99, and am still waiting for an apology from Simone.

Cashier tried to steal my debit card
I went into Rite Aid and wanted to pay for 2 items. I left my debit card on the counter and turned to my niece in the baby carriage to tend to her and then turned around again to address the cashier. He told me the total so I nodded and he seemed like he was wating for me so I said u have my card ... and he said I dont have your card. I said you do have my card because I put it right here on the counter and now its gone... he got annoyed and said I do not have your card ... so I got alittle louder and insisted that I had put my card down and turned to give the baby the pillow I had just bought her and began to draw the attention of other shoppers so then when he realized I was not going to just give him another card and kept insisting I left my debit card in front of us he began looking around and proceeds to pull my debit card out from under need the couter about 3 feet away ... well i went basically nuts and made a scene and asked for a manager because there was no way in hell i wanted him to continue helping me nor could he explain how my card got behind his counter 3 feet away except that then he said oh i must have accidentaly grabbed it when i was throwing away the ticket from the pillow but i insisted that is not the garbage pale which was clear as day behind him... he told me i was "buggin" was the term he used and then the manager after being paged 3 times arrived i explained what happened and she finished my transaction and told him to stop answering and mouthing off to me... i am calling the main company but wanted to see if there were other complaints of this happening and chose to post this... I am sure there is security cameras so I would love to see this

CUSTOMER SERVICE
OK FRIENDS, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
So I really have not wanted to post my beyond awful Rite Aid trip I had the last week of June but I now feel I need to and am in search of some advise. I am going to make a long story as short as possible though ( I hope )

It goes like this...
Customer (that's me) goes into local rite aid w/ coupons in hand DUH... Pick's out a few item's and heads to check out. Cashier although very, very nice said she had to double check that she was able to take more than 1 (not a problem as I knew it was allowed)
In enters the not so friendly manager who seemed very, very irriated and wanted to argue about my coupons. I was very nice and explained I had read R.A's coupon policy and felt as though I could use these after a min or two she said fine. The very nice cashier finished ringing up my order and suggested I should call corp. and get the coupon pol. in writing. Good idea I thought. She then asked the not so friendly manager to get me the #. Right then I knew I was going to have a problem. The manager tossed the papers she was holding down and walked into a back room. Now this is where I probly should have chose to walk away but I did not, instead I took out my cell and began recording the counter top as soon as she walked back out. I asked her to please write her name and explained to her that she made me feel very unwanted in her store. She completly ignores everyword. Next is where I REALLY should have decided to walk out but again did not LOL... After she handed me the # I lifted up my cell to show her I was recording and said exactly this "I am so glad I am recording this right now so I can show corporte how rude you treat your customer's using coupons." Then the manager decides to reach across a counter and HIT ME! Yes, she hit me. Now this point I will admit I was now a bitch. When she hit me my phone fell, cracking the screen as well as leaving scratches on the back. I was also bleeding on my left hand ( i will admit it was a scratch from her finger nail I think, not a life threating injury!) I picked my phone up and then said "Now you really fucked yourself, I'm calling the cops. I can't believe you just hit me" She then denied hitting me and I said "ok, it's on video" Well, from there the cops come she gets charged w/ battery they take my video for evidence as well as R.A's video. Here's where my problem is, RITE AID is being complete jerks about all of this. #1 the cop calls me 3 days later to let me know they turned the case over to the d.a. and wanted to let me know that rite aid chose to suspen this manager for 3 days. (he did say he wasn't sure he could really be saying this but felt I should know) I can not believe a manager can do this and not be fired on the spot!
#2 All I want is for R.A. to fix the crack in the screen on my phone and they will not return my calls! I have left 3 or 4 msg's with no luck!

WHAT DO I DO?????

Pharmacy Hours
The store hours for the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Kiefer Blvd. are misleading. The sign outside the door to the store reads Mon-Fri 8am - 10pm. So are they closed on the weekends?? NO! You have to go to the other side of the front door to see that they close on the weekends at 6pm. Totally confusing and misleading. Who would think that a store within a store would have TWO signs with their hours on them? Not me! PLUS: I called their 24-hour answering recording and it says the closing time is 10pm. Yes, I take medication for my blood pressure, but that didn't happen to be the prescription I was out of. I've been a good customer of theirs for years, but I'm done with them.

Pharmacy
I went to the pharmacy to pick up a perscription that I had called in 2 days prior. When I got home with it, I noticed that it was my mothers. Now luckily I have a car to go back to the store, but after working 12 hours, you shouldn't have to do that. I called the pharmacy about why I was given the wrong one, the girl never apologized once and kept saying my prescription was never placed, so basically she is implying that I'm lying. Luckily they are only allergy pills, but what if they weren't and I really needed them, I wouldn't been out-of-luck. I own a restaurant and I know how customers should be treated, I only expect the same in return. What if my mother's RX went into someone else's hands, it could've been alot worse. I just hope someone does do something about Rote-Aid pharmacies, because they just lost about 6 customers, from my word-of-mouth, so now Walgreens is my new pharmacy.

Horrible customer service
So I went there to return a blush and face lotion and I also wanted to exchange a hair mousse for a hairspray. I had my receipt which said that I had only purchased these items a week before wanting to return them. I was under the impression that Rite AId, like most drugstores, had a pretty lenient return policy (especially with a receipt!) Anyway, the manager took my items to his office, left me hanging out at the counter for a good ten minutes and then came back out saying that his "computer shows no evidence of these items being bought withint he last 30 days". It didn't help that he had broken English either...and he couldn't understand a word I was saying because I kept asking him "well that's what my RECEIPT is for...to show you that I bought these here!" Still, he refused to let me return/exchange my items. And then he said that maybe I had bought them at CVS...oh yea! That's why my receipt says RITE AID on it!!! Ugh! I think if a person is going to have a job that requires dealing with english speaking customers on a daily basis, the person should at least be able to communicate the language!!

Plowing
At 12am on Tuesday morning, January 20th. A plow/bobcat was racing around the parking lot. Revving it's engine over and over waking me up. This has continued for almost 2 hours now.
