Stolen wedding ring
Had two installers from Rite Rug in Dayton, OH area in my home. Placed my wedding ring in another room around the corner from install to clean up debris from the remaining old carpet my husband and his friend removed. Installers called 20 minutes before arriving to install. In all of my rushing, left my ring in the room next/connected to the room having carpet installed. Ring was not there after install. Rite Rug will not attempt to make good on the theft -- had to file a police report. Recommend using another company for carpet and installation -- they don't respect or care about the customer.

Poor job
Had a very bad install and keep getting the run around on fixing the problems. Rite Rug will not help me with this issue and I have called many, many tiems over and over and over again. I would like help and they will not help me. I ca not get a refund because it was a service not the product. I wish they would just fix the problem. I see other on here have the same problem I am having. Any ideas? I like my flooring but the installers did a very very poor job and now they will not bother to communicate with me about the problem.

Poor customer service
I wanted to get hard wood floors put in my kids play room and picked out what I liked. The salesman came to my house and did the measurements for us no problem. He said that he would call us in a couple days to let us know when the order came in so we could set up an installation time. He never called us. I called him on his cell phone (which he told us to call him on) and said he wasn't in the office and he would call us back. No call. So my husband stopped at the store on his way home from work and spoke to the manager and said that the order would be in a few days and that they would call us. Still no call. I had to call them and finally set up a date in which I was told that they would call when it got closer as to a time window for when they would be here. No call they showed up at 7:50 in the morning in which I had just gotten out of the shower. Installation went fine until I one of the transition pieces was short. So they told me my sales guy would call me and let me know when the piece would be in. No call for a couple of days. I called and talked to someone else at the store and they said they would have to call me back the next day. Still no call. I finally called into the corporate office and I am still playing phone tag with them. So would I recommend them to anyone they answer is No! The floor is nice but the headache is not.

Salesman lied to me
Bought two rooms of hardwood flooring from a salesman who assured me I was getting a top-notch product at a great sale price. Later found out from a manager at another Rite-Rug store that the product received was considered seconds and that since I paid a sale price I should not expect better. When I asked for an inspector to come out and look he told me the product was cabin grade and that I should expect no better than what I got. Flooring ended up being between 20% and 40% waste. However, inspector promised to get back to us and locate enough flooring to finish the job [which of course we would have to pay for]. That was almost a week ago and he still has not and is not answering calls. Neither will anyone in mgt. respond. Located enough flooring on my own to finish the job. Thank God, I had my own installer and did not trust their people to do the job.
