I was arrested for Picking up a trailer that looked like its was abandoned by the side of the rode with no license plates and no
residential houses or business infront or around the trailer . I am
an honest real estate agent that have paid my taxes since 1991 and
have never been in trouble and does not have any criminal record, due to a the recession that started in July 2007 I pick up scrap metal left on the streets, I also buy junk cars from people which I resell to the junk yard and make a little profit . To make the story short, the trailer had a gps, 30 minutes after taking the trailer my house was sorrounded by 30 police officers pointing guns at my wife, my wife and I were put in a police car for questioning while the searched my house and found nothing that was stolen! My children were screaming and nervous! I was put in the police car with handcuffs soo very tight and put in the back of a police car and I was litteraly pushing against the handcuffs becouse I weigh 260pounds and only given one single handcuff instead of 2 handcuffs due to my weight, I was taken to jail, I told the police officer to untighten the handcuffs and he told me they were not suppose to be comfortable, I felt like the biggest crook that was ever put in this earth! then I was taken to another jail were they booked me for grand theft! My wife bail me out in the morning, I went to court aprox 30 days after being arrested, since I could not afford an attorney I was given a Public Defender, the public defender told me that they wanted to give me 60 days in jailed and 4 felonies for grand theft, I begged the public defender to fight for less or to dismiss the charges . When I was presented to the judge the judge looked at me and my previous record since I am 42 years old, she straight out said ´´this was a mistake´´ and she reduced my sentence to 4 counts of misdemeanor and 180 days of community service! I tried to apply for work but was declined and rejected becouse i have ´´grand theft´´burglar´´stealing´´on my records, I am a father of 2 and unemployed, now it makes it even worst becouse there are very few jobs and employers chery pick their employees ! can somebody tell me if this is justified?I was to work 2 times a week for free for year and a half and can´t even get a job and if I comply with the county I will be arrested for not showing up for work, if i sometimes pay for gas to put in the car to show up for work realese program ! by the way I saw thesame trailer which I was arrested for 3 weeks later aprox 8 miles from my house, I bet somebody got in trouble, I hope it wasnt somebody like me !
