BEWARE!!
"Scott Johnson" just stopped by my house, making us believe he was a young college student trying to earn points by selling magazine subscriptions. If he earned enough points, he'd be heading to Europe/Amsterdam. WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!! He was very pushy, persistent and would not leave until I ordered magazines.. I gave in to his scam. He really wanted cash, but luckily I had none. I wrote him a check instead then put a stop payment on it. As soon as he left I looked up the company and sure enough I read all these complaints. He had a couple of tattoos and a crossed eye. He was very friendly, talkative... but BE CAREFUL! He also claimed to be competing against "the girls", one of which is his girlfriend. When I asked him what college he was doing this speech project for, he said one thats in Alabama but never mentioned the name of this college. After the magazine order was placed, he shook hands with us and told us he was placing a sticker on the outside of our door to let "the girls" know that he had already been there so they won't bother us. I DID contact the police department and they are currently on the lookout. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!

Magazine Scam
I would like to say to anyone who has been scammed by RLA, you are certainly not alone. I work for a Sheriff's Office and unfortunatly, should have known better. I was taken by the scam as well. By a young male, Nick Taylor, who seemed very courteous and friendly. He was knowledgeable about the program and was very convincing. Fortunatly, a concerned citizen got a feeling that something was not right, after receiving a visit from this group. They proceeded to call our local police department. All participants were investigated and several arrests were made on these con artists!!! I cannot my officers enough!

Fraudulent magazine sales
On 10/8/08 a young college student stopped by the house selling magazines with RLA Inc (Gonazales Company) sales person was Kevin Speed and he was yeilding a solicitors lisence from the city, which made me believe he was legitimate. I purchased one magazine paid by check it didn't take them long to cash the check but I have yet to receive a single copy.
