i have a roberts slotted carpet knive i bought at home depot. i bought this knive because it was the only one available and i left my orcon knife in my other tool box.model #10-252 slotted carpet knive is defective . the handle comes loose all the time causing the stored blade edges exposed and and to slip out. i cut myself three times yesterday. the blades slip through the seam of the middle the knife leaveing anyone using this thing at severe risk of severing. tendons viens in fingers and possible loss of a finger .dont dismiss this complaint. i have pictures taken by my apprentice immediately after the incident. i have contacted an attorney about this matter. gentleman -roberts carpet slotted blade knive model # 10-252 is a very dangerous piece of equipment. i have been installing floors for over thirty years and this is by far the most dangerous knive a floor layer can use, it can get bloody. it did with me. and it have pictures and the knife that easily proves the molding of this product can worp and cause the blade storage area to let a razor slip through and severely cause severe cuts and disabity which in this business can be permanent. these blades are sharp enough to shave your face--why did roberts make this mistake of a knive. check with your designers because this s.o.b. is flat out dangerous. if you want pictures ill send them via mail. im not going to let this go. call me @ 916-256-6849-soon or you will be hearing from ny attorney. this is the worse carpet knive ever made. period-sincerly philip mark weirick
