I received a water bill for the month of August in the amount of $293.93. The total amount of usage they say? 80, 540!!! I have a family of 6 and average 6-7000 gallons per month. When I called this exorbitant bill into question, I was told I must have a leak. After having that chaecked, I requested the meter be inspected. I met with a great deal of resisitance, only to finally have somone come out and tell me that they had never seen a meter malfunction and then go back to working. I promptly asked him if he had ever seen a leak fix itself either. He had no answer for that. I have called and been told my obnly option is to go through the water commission, but in the meantime, I will still be responsible for the balance on the account. Of course, my bill this month is rumming right on schedule.
What ever happened to common sense? I would have had to have been using 110 gfallons per hour to reach this insane amount of water usage!!
has anyone got any ideas? Please let me know.
