cable burial
i has been 1.5 years since requesing a burial of a cable wire. Rogers had a crew finally try and dig the wire but after 6 months it was december 200 9 before they attempted...and crew (dueto cold) left the wire above ground threw my tree ..around my pool and sticking out from the corner of my lot. 8 months later August 2010 still not buried after numerous equests. A Monopoly company with no competition in Ottwa Ontario. SERVICE SUCKS

Different volume levels!
Wow, you turn on your tv nowadays and it seems each channel has its own volume level. Seems the volume level really peaks when a Rogers commercial comes on (what a coincidence). Why do i need a Rogers commercial coming on telling me to get Rogers Cable or to get Rogers Internet services or Hoem Phone services. I think each customer should have commercials displayed based on the product they dont have. If i dont have internet, then sure show me Rogers internet commercials, but come on every 5th commercial seems to be for Rogers Cable advertising something i already have.
Also it would be nice to have a balance for volume where i can adjust the volume of all channels through the cable box menu so thatall channels have the exact same volume level. It is not fun turning the tv channel and waking up people

Sunday Ticket nfl Package
Rogers cable feed for nfl suday ticket. Just a huge rip-off Not in high definition like Bell, look, ect
Plus the picture keeps cutting out and stopping on numerious channels in the 430 and up range.
Rogers HD service is very poor and not woth the extra money.

Billing and General Policy
Just got off the line after struggling with four reps working for Rogers Cable (July 2009). One of the reps even asked for my wife's drivers licence number which is an invasion of private information as far as we're concerned. My wife has received three calls in the last three days for a bill of $66 which is 7 days overdue. We have also found in the past that Rogers has tried to bill one month in advance and is still trying to do that to this day. Imagine the profit in that if they are actually getting it from a half a million people in Toronto.
We we're harrassed by a bunch of people marching around our apartment building a couple of months ago trying to sign people up for more services from Rogers i.e. telephone/cellphone. In my work I regularly talk with technicians working for Rogers and mentioned to a technician that people had been going door to door in my building. He informed me that the forms that these canvassers were using were at best misleading and that some people who thought they were signing to not have any more services were in fact signing up for more!
A technician also informed me about 3 years ago that he didn't know how much longer he could afford to work for Rogers. As an example he told me that he used to get $24 for an internet setup and is now only getting $8.
With Rogers Cable EVERYTHING IS FOR THE ROGERS FAMILY and be damned with the rest of the world.

Free Preview Billing Scam?
BEWARE of Rogers FREE Promotions; if you get FREE Promotion activated; they will activate from *any* date or time you request, but when you call to CANCEL; they will NOT cancel until your Billing cycle is complete; means you will end -up PAYING for the whole (next) month/cycle if you miss to call or cancel a day before your free promotions ends. Rogers CS reps simply make an excuse that their accounting/billing s/w does not allow calcellations or deactivation middle of the billing cycle, BUT HOW COME THEY CAN ACTIVATE ANY DATE/TIME regardless of billing cycle.??????
- A very disappointed (again) customer on Rogers' policy / CS invoked at-will by RogersCS.

packaging of channels
I subscribe to the basic channel package and Rogers offers add-on channels @ $2.69 per channel. However the channels I want are being offered only as apart of a package deal, foricng me to pay for channels I don't want

customer service 'white liars'
I wanted to order Setanta sports to watch soccer. I made it clear that I was visiting my parents house for the holidays and that I live in England. The Rogers representative told me it was $14.99. I understood this as meaning for the month. What I found out LATER was that there is a minimum of a four-month contract. It was obvious to the rep that I was visiting and only was interested in watching a few games. I consider it lying for him not to inform me about the four-month commitment.
Shame on you Rogers..

If you have tried to call rogers customer service, you know where I'm going with this. EVERY time they are experiencing "high volumes" of calls showing their lack of capacity for the obviously high number of complaints. Ironic for a telephone service provider? The last time I called I was on hold in "priority" sequence for 20 minutes. When I eventually reached a real person I was told to call back in 2 hours because they had computer problems - another ironic issue considering they are an internet provider. Last year they cut my cable and left me with no phone for an hour. Apparently this was planned but told noone! This company is a monopoly and constantly cons people into accepting special deals only to find your monthly payment increases again and again.

Poor service!
In asking the service representative to create a problem report for not receiving cookies, he begins his standard procedures. In explaining that my side is accepting cookies fine, and the problem is on their side (and explaining how I tested if cookies worked), he quickly shifts subject to my network breaking security agreement. I explain that as with everything else, if it runs inside my home network, its fine. It is after all my network, he continues to argue, and I finally just hang up. Problem has never been solved. Very unsatisfied with rogers in general!!!
