I joined Romance Pros of Tucson in early August 2009 for $2495., plus had to pay $29 per match in addition to this. I was told that I'd be easy to match and there were "plenty" of men who'd be a good match for me, in my age range. It was a high-pressure and very attractive sales pitch, well-designed to make the potential client feel that Romance Pros was different from all the other dating services in that Romance Pros provided a "personal matchmaker" and really take care of their clients.

I've had three matches so far in six months time, and one didn't show up to our meeting scheduled by Romance Pros. I was told in August when I joined that I would average one match a month. The two men that I did meet told me they were averaging at least a date a month, so my guess is that there are more men than women. Anyway, I talked to the sales representative in November via phone about refunding my money, but she brushed this aside, telling me that I needed to allow the process to work. She tried to tell me that she had told me I'd average a match every other month, but I know better than this. I wouldn't have joined if I'd only be expecting six matches a year... So I've sent priority email twice in February to request my money back and I have not had my emails returned or a phone call to let me know the status. Romance Pros falsely represented themselves in my particular case, and I do want my money refunded.
