Took my money and did nothing...
I contracted Roni Deutch, Professional Tax Corporation, to represent me, prepare and file one "Offer in Compromise" with the Internal Revenue Service for past due taxes I owed.
I did everything they ask me to and got back on track with the IRS.
I paid them $250 a month starting 09/28/2010 through 02/02/2011 for a total of $1500. This was money I really could not afford, but had too in order to get squared away with the IRS.
As we all know Roni Deutch did not acquire an "Offer in Compromise" so the IRS continues to make things worse by applying any refunds to my back taxes.
Thanks for Nothing,

UNPROFESSIONAL
I hired this company who claims to be the best tax lawyers available, far from true! I have had nothing but unpleasant conversations with their staff and letters full of fluff. They are supposed to get me an "offer & compromise" settlement but they can't seem to get their head out of their ass long enough to do so. The only time I ever hear from them is when they want their payment, but when I ask to speak to my lawyer about my case I get her assistant. Do I even have a lawyer??! I received a nasty phone call from Robert Forsyth today about not receiving my payment yet. I told him I was working and was with a client and I would call him back first thing in the morning to take care of it. He continued to argue with me and got more and more rude and unprofessional. He said as far as he was concerned he was sure he wouldn't hear back from me! UNACCEPTABLE! I have never spoken to a client that way and if I did they would want their services for free! If I could afford to get another lawyer and lose all of the money I have dumped in to this stupid company I would.

Scam
I contacted Roni Deutch hoping they help me resolve my tax situation. I paid their HIGH fee's with my credit card. They did not help me.
*I setup my own payment plan with the IRS.
*They did not help me lower my balance.
*They sent me a letter saying they were cutting me off due to non-response. ( I was in my honeymoon).
*Still have the balance on my credit card, on top the interest.
It is sad how they take advange of people in these hard times.
Waste of time.

Rude people
I emailed for some information. I received a call the next day. Meanwhile, I decided not to use her services, I was told "thank you for wasting my time." Rudeness. glad that I did not waste any money there.

Roni Deutsch sooo not professional
August 10, 2010
Professional??? NOT
I hired Roni Deutch after I received a letter from the IRS trying to collect from 11 years ago. I spoke with a gentleman who seemed to be honest and helpful. I thought he would be my lawyer...to my disappointment I was assigned to a lawyer by the name of Heather Philpot. I hired them in May to get me into a "non-collectable" status with the IRS. The first time I spoke with my lawyer was when she called to tell me the amount the IRS was claiming I oy twe.
I paid the retainer fee of 500.00 made 1 payment of 296.00 and had to REQUEST a phone call with my lawyer. When I called the office I spoke to this lawyers assistant. Was I paying the assistant or the lawyer? I asked the assistant where my money the IRS was taking from me was going. Her answer was "probably the backtaxes that you owe?"
I requested a phone call with my lawer Heather Philpot in the middle of June due to the IRS garnished 466.00 out of my paycheck with no warning and left me with less than 400.00 to live on for 2 weeks, taking my whole refund for 09 and 50 a paycheck since May. The answer the lawyer gave me when I asked her to contact the IRS since they had power of attorney and make sure I was getting proper credit for the monies the IRS has received. The lawyer Heather Philpot's answer was "well its not my job to negogiate the amount the IRS is stating you owe." Really? Then what EXACTLY is your job? I wasnt asking her to "negogiate" the amount just make sure they are giving me proper credit. Her answer to that was "the IRS is difficult to work with." OMG! SERIOUSLY? So what did I pay 900.00 for? I asked her if I should contact the IRS myself, she advised me not to.
The next phone call I received was from the billing department from a Myra. She was asking to get permission to get my payment for July off my debit card. The next day I received a nasty message from someone by the name of Robert. That night I called Myra and left her a 5 minute message explaining that I was NOT going to make a payment due to the lawyer refusing to call the IRS on my behalf and for service I have not received
per the contract. The following day I received ANOTHER nasty message on my cell phone from a Gladys Gonzales in the accounting/billing department. I then received a call at WORK from this Gladys person and when I answered the phone she stated "this is Gladys Gonzales from the Roni Deutch law firm. I need to know if your going to continue to be a client and make a payment?" Very nasty. I said excuse me why are you calling me at work I dont give my work number out except to my family and friends in case of an emergency. Her answer was "because you put it down as a contact" I tried to explain that I left a message on Myra's voicemail explaining the situation..she rudely interupted me and said "there was no message left your just making excuses. I dont need to sit here and listen to your excuses!" and HUNG UP! I was so distraught and shaken up. I contacted this Gladys Gonzales while I was on my lunch. I again tried to talk to her and asked her if this was the way she treated customers and clients. She stated "well you arent a client!" Really??? I asked to speak to her supervisor she HUNG UP AGAIN!!! I called back and refused to speak to her. A man by the name of Robert got on the phone. I asked him if he was Ms. Gonzales' supervisor he stated yes. I said good so you are aware that she hung up on me not once but twice? He said thats because you were yelling...um no you havent BEGUN to hear me yell. I then proceeded to explain the situation. He kept interupting me and stated I was making excuses and didnt give them persmission to take the payment out of my account. Damn straight I wasnt giving you permission to have my debit card and account information! When I told him the lawyer refused to contact the IRS for me he stated that per the "transcripts" she OFFERED to contact the IRS...LOL really? Id like to see a copy of those transcripts. I then told him I want my 500.00 retainer fee back and they would NOT be getting another penny from me. He told me who I needed to contact and disconnected the call.
To this day I still have NOT heard from Heather Philpot and its been over a month! Oh but wait it gets better I received a letter from another lawyer indicating they "regret" to inform me they are cancelling my services. Really? Cause according to Gladys Gonzales I wasnt a customer! Oh but wait theres more...I also received a BILL for the month of August!
This company is nowhere close to being "professional" like they state on tv and all there letters. Whatever you do DONT contact them for service unless you have money to throw away for services you dont receive!!!

February 4, 2010
unethical
Roni Deutch is a rip off artist... I went to the IRS and they said to me "do you believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy?"
We stopped there services before we even started any paperwork and they said it would take up to 35 days for a refund of our 500.00.
BULL SH$T... They told us a letter is being sent and we can review it and file a appeal.
DON"T USE THEM>>>>>>>>>

Awful company
My husband and I hired the tax firm to assist with a tax debt in 11/07 since that time it has been nothing but pure *** to get our money back. After paying them $1700 in fees for a pile of paperwork that didn't amount to anything we still owe the IRS $$$$.
When trying to contact them for an answer they stonewall us by saying " a phone call is being made to the IRS". I would advise anyone looking to use this law firm to solve your tax problems avoid them at all cost. They are a crooks!
