Quality and delivery
Do not buy from Rooms To Go. Purchased girls bedroom set in March and first delivery date in June did not have the dresser and mirror and nightstand was cracked. Second delivery in august had the dresser but no mirror and did not bring replacement nightstand. Third delivery today September 24th brought the nightstand but mirror was cracked. Now they are telling us late October delivery date for the mirror. If we had known that this set was on back order and they were having probelms with delivery of complete set, we would not have purchased it. So, 7 months later and we still do not have complete bedroom set.

Customer Service and Deliverr
Excuse my French but Rooms to Go in the biggest piece of s**t furniture store around. They could care less about their customers. The story begins...
I eagerly walk into a Rooms to Go store to purchase the Belmar Gentleman's Chest in green as an accent to my bedroom decor. The saleswoman was great, in and out, $700+ paid in cash. I inform the saleswoman that I would be back to purchase a furniture set for my son.
The furniture was delivered on time but to my surprise there was a huge hole at the top of the chest. Being the nice person that I am, I saved the delivery man the trouble and bringing the broken furniture up two flights of stairs and denied the delivery.
As soon as the delivery man leaves, I receive a call from Rooms to Go asking how the delivery went. I explain to the customer service rep that the piece of furniture was broken and I denied the delivery. She then informs me that the delivery man has told her the same. So, thinking that we are all on the same page, I ask for another delivery date. She drops the bomb explaining that I must wait 48 hours until I can schedule for a new piece of furniture and that I should have wasted the delivery man time by having him bring the furniture into my home.
48 hours later I call to schedule for a new delivery date and the my pleasure (sarcasm) it will be another week until I can have my furniture. Keep in mind that had my money on the spot. Yay!! It is delivery day; I wonder what awaits me now. This time the delivery man (dm) is late but at least the chest does not have a hole on top. The furniture is brought up and assembled. Then, the dm leaves to get the door for the furniture. Well, Rooms to Go will never let you down, the door is not in the delivery truck! Learning from the previous experience, I kept the chest without the door.
By this time I should add RTG customer service to my Fav 5. I explain the door situation, ask that the door be sent UPS because I am not taking of work to wait for a door. Customer service says they will send the door UPS.
Today the door comes but I did not know that the UPS man wore a RTG shirt!!! Luckily my brother was home, for I was at work trying to make up for the money wasted with RTG. Well guess what else this time, the doors here but there is not hardware to assemble to door!! Now I know that my brother a logical person and doing the logical thing he denied the delivery. So yes, I will have to wait another 48 hours until I can schedule for a new door.
I hate to break my word to that nice saleswoman but I will not be back, also I will tell any and everyone not to purchase furniture from RTG. I am a hardworking, young, single mother, I do not fork over $700+ to just anyone. I am disappointed with the way Rooms to Go conducts business.

Causes property damage
As of August 3rd it will be three years since the Rooms To Go delivery truck rolled onto my carport and caused damages. They have ignored us...stalled us and sent out countless adjusters to try not to pay this claim. SE Delivery is a Corp but it has the same address asRooms To Go in Seffner Florida. Here is the scoop. They hire a high paid Attorney now named Brendon Stuhan that graduated from Virginia Law School that just curiously has a boat load of Seaman Family Members as Alumni and donators to the College. Of course he practices in Pennsylvania which is where the Current CEO Jeffrey Seaman's family is originally from and are Quakers. Mr. Seaman's grandfather Julius and his brother took over the business after his father died and this has been the family pattern. Now Jeffrey's cousins and wife are part of Finco Financial Corp and ETI Financial Corp which is insurance premium financing and they are also leaving a path of lies, deceit and rip offs behind them.

Terrible customer service
I bought my bedroom suit from Rooms to Go. They delivered my bed and told me I would have to wait on my dresser. Now the sales guy promised everything at once, but the delivery guy told me in confidence this happens a lot. I then had to take another day off work to get my dresser and night stands delivered...except there were no night stands. I have now been waiting on my night stand for 4 months and tonight they were going to deliver them between 4 and 8 pm but I just got a call at 8:50 pm that they wont be able to make the delivery I will have to reschedule!!! This is ridiculous. I would encourage anyone who in thinking of buying furniture from this company to run!!! They are rude, and once they get your money there are no returns so if they deliver your bed and you have to wait a year for your dresser and night stands if you want them to match you have to wait. They have a no return policy!!! What happen to customer service?

Delivery nightmare
We purchased a bedroom set for my daughter on May 15. The delivery was scheduled in two parts because one of the four items was on back order.
We wanted the furniture delivered asap so the first delivery was an "add on" - this meant we had to wait at home from 7a -10p for delivery. My husband stayed home from work and waited. The delivery arrived mid-afternoon, they began setting up before my husband realized that the bed was not the color we ordered. They attempted to set up the trundle bed, but they did not have the wheels/hardware with them. Then they tried to set up the nightstand for which they were one screw short - so they decided to try putting it together without the last screw, resulting in a broken leg and wobbly nightstand.
The company scheduled another delivery of the right bed for two days later -again because it was an "add on" we needed to be home from 7a-10p. When I called RTG about the nightstand, they said that replacing it would be an "exchange" which would require a separate "exchange" delivery -I explained that the delivery people assembled it wrong and broke it, but they would not agree to combine deliveries. I asked about the hardware for the trundle - they said it would arrive in the mail.
The next delivery date arrived, they replaced the bed (not without chipping the paint first). Then the next delivery date arrived for the chest of drawers that was backordered - that went smoothly. Since the hardware for the trundle had arrived in the mail, I asked them if they could assemble the trundle. They told me no - that I would need to request and technical/assembler call and they would assemble it. Really?!
The next day the same delivery folks arrived with the nightstand "exchange". They attempted to assemble the nightstand only this time there was NO hardware. I kept the hardware from the broken nightstand and they requested the additional screw to be sent in the mail - we would need to request an assembler to come out later! By now the delivery people took pity on me and agreed to assemble the trundle, but it turns out that the hardware that RTG sent in the mail had only 4 wheels - we needed 6 and all the screws were too long...so long they would poke through to the mattress! So we needed to order hardware again!
Over the course of the four deliveries there was never any acknowledgement of the time or inconvenience - no attempt made to quickly solve the problem. When I spoke with a customer service manager he indicated that the processes I have described are their protocols period. Why they couldn't combine deliveries or dispatch quickly someone who had the parts and the ability to assemble the furniture was infuriating.
I would never buy from RTG again - partly because of this experience, and and partly because based on the construction of the furniture (my husband ended up assembling the furniture himself - and it just doesn't seem that durable/worth the money we spent).

Horrible company
I ordered 10, 000 worth of furniture from Rooms to go and had one chair that they could not deliver without gashes, tears etc after four times of an attempted delivery. I accepted the other pieces furniture with issues because I figured it wasn't worth the fight. The chair was unacceptable. This would not have been as bad (i.e. I waited at home four weekends in a row at the mercy of their timeframes for a chair to arrive) but they lied to me multiple times about the chair. The worst lie was that both the manager (L) (name hidden) and director of corporate customer (KZ)(name hidden) service had talked to the delivery and warehouse manager and that they would ensure my timeframe was 7-11 am so that I could receive the chair in the early morning for the fourth weekend (since it was such an inconveience) undammaged only to find out when I called that morning to find out where they were that they HAD NEVER TALKED WITH THE DELIVERY COMPANY AT ALL. They never changed my timeframe of delivery, and hoped I would not notice. Completely unacceptable. I also called the corporate office to complain on numerous occasions and simply asked for a call back to address. My call was returned one time from a woman who ultimately was the last person over my last issue and was the person who lied to me. She gave me her number (so if I had any problems to call). Please note she isn't in and not avaialble on Saturdays (the last day of the attempted delivery). I will not only never buy another piece of furniture from rooms to go AND will tell everyone I know not to ever do it either. If they had simply been honest with me, I would have worked with them. Instead they chose to lie and treat me with the highest level of disrespect. They tried to hide behind a lie and got caught. I verified this with an associate LW (name hidden) on the phone from customer service. At least she was honest (what a simple thought-honesty). They also did not offer to do anything for me as their customer. Let me reiterate that I never asked for a discount, money back etc. All I wanted was my chair undammaged. Its sad to see companies do this to the customers, but believe me they will lose business over it. Rooms to go is the most awful company in the history of all retail I have ever dealt with!

Cheaply made sofa
This sofa is only 6 months old. We have had problems from the begining. What a piece of cheap furniture? We bought a sofa in November 2009 from Rooms to Go. Within a week, a repairman was out fixing the thing. He put an additional leg on the sofa and refilled the cushions. We told him that it made noices when someone sat. He told us that It happens and It should stop in time.
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, illness, travel, then, we were able to call, again. We told them that it continues to squeak, the cushions are flat, the stuffing on the arm is so thin that the board is coming through and a leg came off.
The repairman just left. The leg was installed in another spot on the frame because the particle board had a hole from the screw and it was too big to reinstall it in the same location. He also told us that he couldn't fix the rest because it would take two to three hours that he did not have. He would have to take the entire back and arm off to see the problem. The repairman would contact Customer Service and explain the situation. We'll see what happens.
What a mess? We'll never buy from Rooms to Go, again.

lying salesmen
Run, do not stop at ROOMS TO GO, Frisco Texas, ...manager is unavailable, ...working on delivery truck !
Yes, this store manager is a mechanic who is often 'busy' worki ng on delivery truck.
Customer service says most problems are a 'store' issue, ...call the store ! ! ROOMS TO GO is definately PROBLEMS TO COME. And run from salesman ' Nick', ... he will lie thru teeth, or phone lines.
This store is terrible, go to Ashleys across the parking lot...
