oN jULY 5, 2009, my wife and I embarked from california to San Juan Puerto Rico on a vacation planned foor one year. All tickets were purchased and paid for. All documentation was sent in including passport numbers.
To make a long sad story short, I lost my passport on the trip to San Juan to board the ship. Upon arriving, even though I had valid California ID and some other documention, which by the way, the passport agency later said was sufficient. we were denied boarding a "closed end cruise" ( one not needing a passport) and dumped in San Juan Puerto rico for nine days with nothing but our bags, $3, 000 lost to the cruuise line and a basic "too bad for you". it was hello. Wer are litigating against the ROYAL CARRIBBEAN, WHO BY THE WAY WERE ABSOLUTLEY NO HELP AND RIPPED US OFF FOR $3, 000. Do not book with Royal Carribbean.
