I live in Perth, Western Australia, and I emailed a request for help in a lost item, it is now over 48 hours since my compliant was lodge, and except for the automated response, I have not received anything from Royal-mail, The other problem I had, was they set menu form making a compliant required a postcode, but it will not except overseas postcodes, it requires a postcode for the United Kingdom. This makes it pointless for people overseas to try and lodge a compliant on the automated form required on the R-M website.
I am very glad I do not live in England with such an outdated postal service. I would also question how they can keep the "Royal" part of there name, for such a poor service.
