Mr. Godsoe--I learned after the fact--does NOT HOLD A VALID CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE in Massachusetts. (He did have one in Rhode Island; it expired in 2008.)
I've also learned that he starts the job--with a price quote that he's pretty sure "it won't cost any more than..."--until he's half-way thru the job, and now it's going to cost me double!!! I fired him, and hired a licensed contractor, who showed me where Mr. Thomas Godsoe cut corners and made mistakes that weren't to code. This contractor also gave me a quote to do the same job (from the beginning) that was $2, 500 less than Mr. Godsoe's original quote (before he doubled it).
Stay away from Tom Godsoe, RTG Contracting!!! Sure, he seems like the nicest, most honest guy you'd ever meet--at first. But that'll change, trust me.
