I have been a loyal Runner's World Subscriber for over a year, and have even bought gift subscriptions for my friends. The past two weeks, I knew the renewal was coming up, but I have been very busy. My fiance ran her first half marathon on Sunday November 8 and then we got married on Saturday November 14.
In today's mail (11/16), I was appalled to receive a letter from a collections agency over the renewal fee of $22. Are you kidding? How can you send a customer to collections without proper notice and without giving me a chance to respond? I called customer service today and cancelled my subscription in its entirety. I hope this does not show up in my credit report and advise that they do not treat customers in such a shoddy manner.
