Women named Anna, Annushka, Natalika, Veronika, Maria, etc.. from Vladimir and Kazan and other cities in Russia are posting personal ads on AmericanSingles.com, Friendfinder.com, Singleparentsmeet.com and other sites to lure men to communicate with them. After a few weeks they proclaim their love, and the futility of their home life, having been raised an orphan, and insist that the men send them money for passport, visa, etc.. and an airline ticket. Many men have sent in money. Luckily not the writer of this post! LOL
The scam was exposed when the originators apparently are involved in other scams. They sent out an email titled "theyneedyourhelp" to thousands of men that had been contacted by the scheming personal ad "women" One of the recipients 'yours truly' noticed that many the addresses appeared to be of single male resemblance and that the email was in the same broken English that one of the women had written me letters in. I put 2 'n 2 together and emailed some of the men with my story and wondering if they had similar stories.. and boom! Scam exposed! I emailed the whole list of thousands and wow! I think I might have saved hundreds if not thousands of men untold amounts of money. Hopefully this also gets sent into search engines and possibly the media so others don't fall for the hoax.
I recieved replies from places such as New Zealand, South Africa, Great Britain, and many in the U.S. and Canada. Several replied with quotes such as ".. Thank you, you just saved me hundreds of dollars, I truly believed she was real and was ready to send the money..."

Here is the email that was sent out that appeared to be tied in with the personal ad scam. It seems the bank which funds are to be directed is the same bank that the Russian women ask the men to send money to for the funds they need to take the trip to see them.
