Rust-oleum Epoxy Shield Reviews

Warranty
Please don't be fooled by this product, especially if you have a young family and are looking for a trouble-free solution to your garage flooring. They claim to offer a two year warranty and will do a moisture test prior to installation to make sure their product will work. Well, they came on the initial examination, gave me a quotation and applied plastics sheets (approx. 2 sq ft) at 2 random sections of the garage. I called them the next day and they said to check underneath the sheets to see if there were signs of moisture. There was none. So they said that we can proceed with the installation.
One year later, I noticed bubbling and called "William Upton", the manager. After three attempts and a month later, I received a call back from him. (Every time I called the office, the staff were very pleasant and I'm sure they passed my message to him) When he finally came out to inspect the problem, he concluded that it was due to a moisture problem. He said the warranty doesn't cover this problem. I asked, "What about the moisture test we did prior to the installation?" Then he showed me a paperwork ( what they call their "expectation sheet") that the warranty does not cover moisture problem.

My biggest frustation and anger has to do with the fact that they came out, conducted their own testing and gave me the okay to proceed. Then when it was time to honor their warranty, they concluded that there was moisture on my floor - a problem their test stated I didn't have. Then they whip out an "expectation sheet" that stated even if their test shows no moisture, we (the clients) understand that there could still be a moisture problem and that they will not guarantee their work if this is the conclusion of their finding. This "expectation sheet" was not shown or mentioned to me on the initial visit nor prior to the installation. Morever, this so-called non-warrantable clause is not even stated in their moisture test description on their website. (See http://premiumgaragefloors.com/PlasticSheetTest.asp)

All along I believed that since their testing showed no moisture and since they said it was okay to coat my floor, that I should have the peace of mind knowing that should anything happen, Rust-oluem would be there to help me with any problems arising from their product. This is a blatant attempt to mislead consumers. Please do your homework and think twice before contacting HOME DEPOT and the RUST-OLEUM for your garage floor coating services.

Now I'm stuck with a garage floor full of bubbles that my young children constantly trip on. They offered to replace the floors with their modular tiles but I would have to pay for it.
