A roanoke city parking enforcement officer has been harrassing me and some of my co-workers. Mostly the officer "S. Clay" has been harrassing me. It started when the officer gave me a parking ticket one day (I deserved it) for parking over 1 hour in front of our office. I was leaving right when he pulled up and told him I was getting ready to leave and he said too late and gave me a ticket, I looked at my tires and there was no chaulk mark whichthey use to mark your car to see if you have left and reparked. After asking where is the mark, office s. clay jumped our of his ez-go cart and pushed me out f the way and said "You want to see a mark Buddy" in a rude and angry voice. He made aggressive contact with my body! If I were to touch him in any way it would be assault on a police fficer a felony but he is permitted to push me? He did this in front of a witness and my 14 year old son. I filed a complaint with teh police station and they did nothing!
After this the office continues to bother me all the time.. he has used racial remarks, given tickets when they are not warranted, reached in my vehicle, demanded I show him a friends handycap permit, blocked me from leaving for 30 minutes on purpose, and called my friend a mexican jew.
S. Clay needs a class on public communication and sensitivity training + anger management. I understand he has a tough job and understand he can be hated by people for giving tickets. I dont care about the tickets and when I get them I expect to get them. I think all other parking enforcement officers downtown roanoke are noce, fair and professional. S. Clay is not and should not be in this dept. He needs to return to parking lot attendants for private companies.
