Two weeks ago, I went into a Walmart Store. They did not take my check. They gave me the number to call your company to find out why. I called. Your records showed that I have an account with AFG Federal Credit Union in Kingsport, Tn. Your people told me to call your 800 number to find out what was going on. I did. I spoke with a lady and she looked up the problem. It was my drivers license number. You showed that I have an account with AFG. I do not. My mother Edna Perkins does. She gave me a check to cash @ AFG and I did so.
Next thing I know I am getting a letter from AFG and a copy of my drivers license number. AFG advised that I did not have an account with them. The lady from your office advised me to fax this information to you and send it to the attention of your Research dept along with the letter and copy of my drivers license. She said it would take approximately 7-10 business days to straighten it out and then I should be able to write checks again.
Mary at AFG faxed you the letter and information. It went through. I have a copy of when you received it. I have yet to receive confirmation you have straightened this out. It is hurting my credit and I take pride in my credit. I need to hear back from you to give me a conformation you have cleared up this matter. The fax number Mary sent the info to is 1-800-916-8190 Research Dept. Please get back in touch with me within the next 3-5 business days.
Sincerely
Beverly S. Perkins
