We just got a call from this company called safe trust financial. For starters, it is 8:55 central time so it is pretty safe to say that is after busness hours in most of the country... they are based out of Hawaii or Alaska! Some guy calls my husbands cell phone telling him that he has $35, 000 in credit card debt and that he can set him on a payment plan to take care of this issue.
Problem #1: I have watched our credit very closely for a while and have done the finances for all of the almost decade we have been married. The biggest outstanding things we have is our house and our car. Each of which is way more or way less than 35, 000.
Problem#2: I just pulled a credit report back in june 09 and have gone down the list to ensure that everything on it has been paid. Nothing on it not even the total of everything on it equalled 35, 000.
Problem# 3: the guy couldn't give that name of the card company that he owed.


Thankfully my husband and i are very selective of the information we give over the phone because had we not been we could be just giving money
