MEATS
MY NAME IS PATRICIA EUBANKS I WENT TO THE SAFEWAY ON JULY 19 2011 TO SHOP FOR GROCERY AND I SPENT LIKE $189.00 IN FOOD MOSt OF THAT WERE MEATS BECAUSE THEY HAD A GOOD SALE I SPEND LIKE $90.00 IN MEATS AND I WENT HOME AND PUT MY FOOD UP. NEXT MORNING I GOT UP ANDOPEN UP MY FREZZER AND MY MEATS HAD TURN BROWN AND I HAD TO PUT ALL OF THE MEATS IN THE TRASH AND THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO DO THIS I CALL THE STORE AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPEN AND THEY TOLD ME TO MAKE COMPLAINT. PLEASE GIVE ME CALL RIGHT AWAY I NEED MY MONEY BACK . 703-532-1896 .

BAD SERVICE/NO SERVICE
Walk into safeway went to the coinmaster but its out of service, i excuse myself for interupting a non-work related conversation between the clerks at customer service and asked if she would cash in 3 dollars in pennies and some quarters nickels and dimes equaling to about 7 bucks, she makes a face and says im not spending all day counting that...well i had already counted it and it took less than 4 minutes for me...no one else was in line, and i was spending the money in their store anyways so i dont understood why this lady would want to embarras me when i was with my daughter. Its not like they were even working. And what topped it off for me was my husband had the car and my purse at work, i would of loved to pay cash and to have not walked the 10 blocks to get there in 85 degree weather but not all us get what we want, like good service from safeway!

Poor customer service
I am writing to complain about the safeway customer service at the store on East Dunne avenue in Morgan Hill. The clerks act like they are doing you a favor to help you. They are rude, un-friendly, and really unahppy it seems. I have talked to neighbors and others and they agree they have had the same experiance there. The 2 employeess that are the rudest are Connie and Cynthia...they are very unfriendly and seem to forget who the customer is. Avoid this store at all costs!!!

Stay away
I have been a loyal customer of a Safeway store (7375 Arapahoe Rd.
Englewood, CO 80112 ) near by my home from past nearly
2 yrs and i always do most of my grocery shopping in that store. Most of
the store managers and staff members know me and my kid who i take to store most
of the time when i go shopping. Following is an incident happened to me last Tuesday ( i.e., 01/25/2011)
evening when i went to do routine weekly grocery shopping in the same store.
I did checked out from store and on my way towards my car. A Sheriff officer approached me
asked whetheri cashed any money order at that store. I said 'NO'. He asked me to
come inside the store with him. I was confused on whats going on and thought
to be quite and see what he has to say inside the stoe and i just followed him. Sheriff took me inside the store manager room. The minute i walked i saw store mgr
and i said HI. She said 'Do you have a Kid' . I replied 'YES and u know me and my kid
we offen come here'. She asked ' How old is the kid'. I replied 'She is 4'.
Mgr - ' Did you cash any money order here last week'
Me- ' No and i always come here only for grocery shopping'
Mgr-' We are pretty sure its you who had cashed MO and we can see you in the surveillance camera video you are there with your kid. Clerk also says its you'
Me- ' Hell NO i was there at the store last Thursday some time in the evening and buyed grocery and a Mega million ticket. I can give the exact time when i check my store receipt which is at home'.
Sheriff - ' Can you please follow me outside'
He took me near his car and said the following -
Sheriff - ' We mite arrest you once they confirm its you'
Me- ' What!!! just a clerk says its me. Just because the person in the video is with a kid and i always come here with the kid, that doesn't mean that i did it. I am in the store that evening earlier when you say the incident happened why don't you guys just check me in the video and compare the both. Its just that simple'.
Sheriff - ' We have to just believe what store mgr had to say and i am talking to the investigating officer who is dealing the case'.
Meanwhile a lady later i known she is the district mgr for safeway stores came and
she was talking to the Sheriff, store Mgr and Clerk and she keeps looking at me
as if a criminal, in a discriminating way and started taking pictures or video of me
from her blackberry phone without asking my permission. After few mins Sheriff came to me
and said the following :
' We let you go now as we have your ID with us and case still is open and Investigating officer
will contact you'.
Me- ' What is all this you are treating me like a criminal and i have been standing here
in the store from past 1 hr with cops around me . I haven't anything wrong. Just because
clerk belives and district manager belives that its me, you have no right do this to me like this'.
Sheriff - ' This is the case no and my card. We will continue to follow up on this. You may
now leave the store'.
I came home so depressed, shocking and disppointed the way store behaved me after all being
a good customer of them from these many yrs. I know they have the right to protect their money
but this not the way to handle with a customer who they see in the store every other day.
I called the Investigating officer next day and he explained me the following :
' Someone on Thurday 21st of Jan'2011 came to the store sometime around 6:40 P.M and did cashed
some third party fake Money orders which are close to $900. The store clerk belives that's you
and district mgr who saw the video says it's definetly you. We will continue to investigate
on this'.
Me - ' I went to the store the same day to buy some groceries and i checked the store receipt yesterday
and saw its around 5:30 P.M. I came home after that and went to fitness center inside the apartment complex.
I contacted the Apt management and they said they have the video which shows you are in the fitness center
during the time of incident happened in Safeway. I asked them to make a copy of it. Would you like to come
to my apt and have a look ?
Officer - ' Yes i will contact the apt mgt and will have a look on it'.
He later went to the apartment mgt office and took pictures of the surveilliance camera video which shows the time
and me inside the fitness center while the incident happened at Safeway store.
After couple of days officer called me and asked to come to his office and give the finger prints so that
they can verify the finger prints on the Money order. I went the next day morning and gave the finger prints.
He showed me the pictures from the store video camera and the video is not even clear and the person
in the video no where looks close to me. The kid they were talking about is a small baby and all this time i
told them my kid is a 4 yrs old.
Finally yesterday the officer called me and said the finger prints didn't match with that they found on the
moneyorder and as you have the proof that you are not in the store while the incident happened i will strick off
your name from this case.
After all i am off this whole incident but why the store have to make me go through all of this. For one week
i couldn't sleep properly thinking of my family what will happen to them, why i was dragged into this.
Just because i belong to a different ethic they can't treat me like this. Its totally a discriminating way the store
people behaved. They didn't even call me to appolozise on this incident.
You should be ashamed having your corporate office in the same city and having such a rediculous district and store managers
who doesn't know how to behave with a customer. I will definetly take my story to every possible person in this community,
so that they are aware if they shop at your store as you can just drag anyone into the situation i had faced.

pork buns
I called the Vacaville Safeway about pork buns, and they informed me that they had them. I told them that I would be buying them frozen, and they told me that was okay. When I went to Vacaville they told me that they couldn't sell me pork buns frozen, and that wasn't store policy and that the Safeway in Fairfield shouldn't be selling them frozen either.

Customer Dis-service
I purchase groceries for my elderly father online since I live in a different state. It seems when you order groceries & pay for them online you are NOT entitled to a receipt of what is sent or what you have paid for. If you would like a copy of their ONLINE service you must put it in writing for each purchase and mail it to their customer service. I do not understand how it can be considered a online service when the only service you can get is by mail. The only answer you get from customer dis-service is "our legal department needs a written signed copy to send you information on what you paid for." Excuse me! My time, my money, and now my postage, paper, and irritation. Defiantly Safeway DIS-SERVICE.

employees smoking in front of store
Employees are smoking outside safeway near post office, check cashing store and insurance office and restaurant. I have to walk through the smoke with my kids to get to the post office. My kids should not have to be subjected to cigarette smoke abuse. Please have employees take their smoke break behind the building where no one will be at harm. Thank you.

customer no service
Prescription ordered Thur, went to pick up Mon and still not ready.
Precription called in by Dr on Fri a.m., couldn't find Fri pm. Then when I went Mon morning they had double filled it.
Pharmacy automatic delivery to retirement home - "just forgot this month" new computer system and "some things got deleted" - these are not flowers they are delivering they are important medicines for the eldery. Very poor customer service for the past 2 years.

PUBIC HAIR IN MEAT
Bought pork shops last night from this store and as I opened the package last night when I got home, there was a pubic hair in between two of the pork chops!! I immediately called the store manager, but unfortunately they were gone for the day. The District Manager is in a meeting today with all their store managers so I left the complaint with the assistant. The assistant's first concern seemed to be getting me a refund. Frankly, I don't care if I get my $6 and change back. I'm so disturbed and just want it looked into. However, I'm not so confident that it will be addressed well enough, but I will just have to wait and see if someone follows up. Don't think I will shop there again.

Dog and Cat Food next to Pesticides
This is concerning the Safeway on 1st Street in Livermore, California. I'm not sure if this is protcol for all Safeways, but they have pet food and pesticides in the same aisle. They have dog food right next to pesticides which include Raid. When I walk past this section of the isle I can actually smell the pestisides. What is this telling me? Small amounts of the pesticide products are leaking out. As a pet owner I am very concerned for the safetly of the food that animals consume. I no longer purchase my dog food from this store. I would like to see changes made so that no pet food is near pesticide.
