ROSE WILLIAMS IS A HORRIBLE WOMEN SHE TREATED ME LIKE GARBAGE EVERYTIME I COME INTO SALLYS SHE IS EITHER TREATING HER EMPLOYEES LIKE DIRT OR THE CUSTOMERS I HEAR HER MAKIN GFUN OF THE CUSTOMERS WHILE THEY ARE IN THE STORE AND WHEN THEY LEAVE! THAT IS NOT THE WAY A STORE MANAGER SHOULD ACT I AM A PROFESSIONAL HAIR STYLIST FOR BACK STREET SALON. AND I JUST CANT BELIEVE YOU GUYS HAVE SOMEONE LIKE THIS RUNNING YOUR STORE

worst place to work
This is the WORST Company in the world to work for. They do not care about their employees-"we can be replaced" Their words. The pay is the absoloute worst. The Co always brags about how much money THEIR making but pay the employees who make that money for them shit, which is why they have a constant turnover in employees. You can't get all your vacation pay when you FINALLY do get to take a vacation. your job is threatened everyday if you can't sell their stupid items of the month. which by the way are the same tired crap every month, or their beauty club cards which are not worth the money the customer has to pay cuz they can only save UP to 10%. They expect you to freeze in the winter-thermostat not above 68 and sweat in the summer-thermostat not below 78. You can't get sick-it's not allowed, you're expected to be at their beck & call even on your days off and heaven help you if you already have plans, or are not at home when they call. The district manager is a bitch who never does anything but cause problems, i sure have never seen her solve any. The VP is Rude and talks to associates like they are peices of shit beneath his feet. Employees are constantly accused of stealing with no proof. As far as raises, forget it, you will NEVER get a decent raise in this Company-maybe if you're lucky you might get 10 cent. And you get all this for $7.25 an hr-starting pay. It will take you yrs to ever reach $8.00. They say they offer great benefits-another lie-they only hire pt and you get NO benefits. If you work over your allotted hrs for the week the manager will go into payroll & change your time, which is illegal but is done all the time. Their products are 2nd rate knockoffs and they are constantly upping their prices because they feel the customer has no other beauty supply store to frequent. They put used products back on the shelf to be resold. they offer you scratch off cards to win, which are a ripoff as the prizes are not worth what they add to your income for-so how is that winning anything? The Manager reaps all the rewards, the trips, prizes ect while the employees that won those things for the manager get NOTHING. People realy should boycott this company and teach them a lesson.

The employee didnt even know anything about hair products I literally got my hair looking like shit I Mean back home in alamo tx the employes are informative and experienced while her I had to pay a pretty good price for going somewhere with bad customer service.

Poor Management
I agree this place is a joke. They swiped my debit card twice and took the amount out twice and tried to tell me my card was denied the first time. They are always rude. The manager is never there if they have problems they have to call her on the phone. I tried to return some hair spray that did not spray out right and was told they thought it sprayed just fine. Everything I have ever tried to return the manager gives me a hard time if she lets me return it at all. I rarely ever see anyone in this store. I have complained about ths store before . I promise after today's experence will never go back. Maybe this store will close and they can blame themselves. Here the customer s never right I am an upstanding lady in this town, and was taught that the customer is always right. They don't treat customers with any respect. Does Sally offer any traning at all to these employees's? I just took my hair spray from the managers hand and walked away, this is really bad business. I was in this Lufkin, Texas Store 3/23/10. with my problem not solved. Thanks Sally keep up the bad work.

New manager
My new manager is a bully she likes to tell lie about me. And tells me I did price changes wrong and it is not true. She just became a manager already she on vacation.
When she is having bad day she takes it out on me by screeming and calling me retarded. In Aug. the sales in store is bad she blame her enployee really it is her fault by going on vacation for 11 days and not doing out-side sales.

HAIR COLOR
Last week I went into the local Sally Beauty Supply to pick up some hair coloring. I've been coloring my own hair to several years now, but this was the first time I've gone into Sally's for hair color. The front end clerks were friendly but little did I know what I was about to get myself into. The young lady helping me obviously didn't know a lot about hair so I insisted she ask a manager just to be certain the color, the developer and the parts to be mixed were correct. She did, BUT when she picked up the developer she picked up the WRONG one. Needless to say I went home, followed the directions and I guess what I ended up with black and purple hair. This was NOT the color I'd originally selected. I'd selected a pretty auburn color--yeah, not what I got people. The next day the color was worse and I was absolutely mortified. I've called the home office and filed a complaint and it was then I found out that only the clerks with a cosmetology license are supposed to be helping people with hair color. It's been several days now and I've had to spend extra money to correct this mistake and I'm looking to be reimbursed by Sally's OR the clerk that didn't know hair color from a hole in the ground. My advice, don't go to Sally's for hair color just go directly to the salon and save yourself the heartache.

wholesale discount card
I don't really have a complaint against Sally Beauty Supply. I love shopping there. My only problem is the wholesale discount card has cracked and broken. The sales associates at the store have difficulty reading the number on the back of the card so I can get the discount. However, they always seem to manage. It was at their suggestion I am requesting a NEW card. I will attempt to copy the number on the back of the card, just in case you need it. Please, could you send me a new card to my home address. If there is a problem, please call or email me. Thank you for your help.

Didn't put merchandise in bag; hung up on me when I called
I bought hand moisturizer and hair color today. The sales clerk did not put the hair color in the bag. I was planning to do my hair tonight.

They admitted that the clerk had not put the color in the bag (the clerk left a note), but refused to mail it or fedex it to me. I paid cash because the power was out at the time, so a credit card refund is not possible.

My complaint is about the rudeness and apathy of the manager and RM. They both hung up on me. "Quote: this conversation is over"

Martha (940-297-4543) is the store manager and Linda (757-461-6212) is the regional manager.

I am going back to retrieve my money, but I will no longer do business with them.

profiling
I have shopped at several Sally Beauty Supply Stores in several states and I feel that it must be company policy to profile and follow Black patrons. It never fails. Whenever I am entering the store and there are other patrons, I am seemingly the only one who is repeatedly and by several associates if I need help. If I am looking for products that are generally located towards the back wall of the store, that is not my fault. It is likewise not my fault if someone profiles me because of prejudice. I hate that they put the Black haircare products and even sale items in their sales pamphlet in the back of the store and back of the flyers, segregated. I am smart enough to be able to read through it to find which products interest me, whether they are lumped together or not. What enrages me the most is the following around in the store. If I cannot be trusted, according to someone else's perceived notions about me simply based upon color and their own internal racism, then I would like the courtesy to be told this at the front door, "No, you cannot be trusted and we do not want to service you." Following me around, asking me a barrage of questions, trying to steer me to products I do not want and standing there watching me from 2 feet away is outrageous behavior. But it seems to be sanctioned by Sally Beauty Supply. Funny, online shopping services the same purposes but guess what, I'm not profiled nor followed around on my computer.

Price Match/Bait and Switch
Sally Beauty Supply claims that they do price matching. I found numerous chains that beat their pricing in a number of professional items. When I took the ad to them, they claimed that it had to be a local ad. Not an ad from a national chain? Yet on another occasion when I brought them a local ad, they said exactly the opposite. They seem to switch their policy in order to avoid having to honor this policy. Either you extend price matching or you do not. Stop being wishy-washy. This is an illegal practice referred to as Intentional misrepresentation. I will go ahead and order from the national chain that advertises the better price instead of keeping that money local. Sally practices illegal and unethical pratices
