I started a credit card (Visa) with Salute Card Services in April of 2008. I ALWAYS paid my account in full on time or even BEFORE the due dates! I lost my job in September 2008 and I fell behind for a couple of months. Well, take that back, I paid a "little" late in November & December. Then I realized that I had almost $200 in fraudulent charges on my account in January. Since January I have been paying way over the minimum as well as I was able to get the credit back to my account for the fraudulent charges.
I just received a notice that my account is suspended due to over the limit charges from November to January (which are NOT my fault due to the fraudulent charges) and because I was "slow pay" for November & December. I have had a new job since November and catching up my bills which included Salute. I have pleaded with them via emails and phone and a manager emailed me today and said that there was no way to reconsider reopening my account.
This company is a fraud themselves. I hope ANYONE AND EVERYONE that reads this will stay miles away from them. They need to be CLOSED DOWN. Any employees working for them...you are working for scum and if you continue with "pride" to work for them then you are scum yourself!
