Illegal Fees
The Salute Credit Card people are a bunch of thieves!!! First off, they are STILL charging me a $19 monthly account maintanence fee after closing my account for no reason. I have NEVER been late on a payment!!! I have talked to them and asked them to stop this "illegal" activity. They refused.
Second, I called to offer them a settlrment to close my account completely. They informed me that they do not accept settlements on accounts, which I know is against Federal Credit Card regulations.
I wish that there was more I could do to these people.

Rip off
Salute Visa Card is a Rip-Off. They are costing me and a whole lot of other people precious money that nobody has now anyway!

'My account' was closed in February, however I didn't know that it was closed. I never received a letter stating so. I called customer service who told me that I had a Zero Balance but a $30 payment would be coming out the following month. After arguing with the guy for 20-30 minutes about this and why the account is closed and where My Money was I hung up on him. I was getting nowhere. I then went to the bank and stopped the transaction because I had auto-enrolled services with them. They tried to take the money and were stopped. How can they think they can CLOSE My Account and then still take money. They owe me $210 dollars anyway.!! Since February I now have a balance of $77.48 Because they are charging me monthly fees, account maintenance and the $30 TWICE !

These people are ridiculous and need to be stopped. I have signed petitions and I will be looking into a class action lawsuit!

Emailing them don't work either. Yet they had the nerve to send me a survey for Customer Satisfaction. I filled it in.. oh yeah.. but it wasn't nice.

Cancellation of Account
I've always paid on time and then they cancel the card, with no notice, yet they still charge a yearly fee and monthly maintenance charge . How outrageous is that?

Frauds/Liars/Scams
On Feb 1 I received a letter from this company stating that this program is being discontinued and they are closing my account. So on Feb. 17 I mailed a payment for the full amount as indicated on the website. The check cleared my bank on feb 25 and posted to my salute account on mar 18. I now owe 30.79 which they would waive NONE of the fees. The fees are 10.00 maintenance fee (the account is closed whats the maintenace) and then finance charges cause they took so long to post my check to my salute account.
So fine I said I will pay the amount due right now over the phone and they said it would be a fee of 14.95. I was stunned and told them I am willing to do the right thing and pay it now but no addtional fees. They said they would waive the fees but only to the primary card holder. I then proceeded to explain to them that the primary card holder is in Iraq. They then said sorry but we will only waive the fee for him. So they will cash my check, take my credit card payments, but when it comes to losing money no can do for me.
NOONE THERE IS WILLING TO BUDGE!!!
I am trying to do the right thing and pay on a closed account, but it seems to me they don't care. My husband works in Iraq and I am taking care of all the finances. I explained to them that he does not have our bank information. I can't tell you how many times I heard the 5 people I talked to there say..I'm sorry mam, I understand mam. And what really pisses me off is these people work over in India...FIGURES!!!

rip off
I also have issue with salute paid account on time just after collected annual payment closed card also prior to this they sent a letter stating something about bill being sent in wrong envelpe to use a regular envelope from now on just kept using envelope sent with bill sounded fishy, when got letter stating to continue to pay my account even though everyones account was being close supposedly due to ecconomy the people higher up thought this was best way to go. I recieved two calls this week about payment due explained it was in the mail. 2nd call tried to charge me 40.00 late fee. I re3fuse to pay anything more than I owe they no longer provide me wit5h a service cut me off like3 nothing well I will pay what I owe but they will not make another penny off of me. I feel this place wasa a scam . may not see another dime unless I see proof they exist. enough is enough.

Cancelled Service
I was just told my credit card had been cancelled as well as all Salute cards. I paid a deposit to enter into this agreement.
I wasn't told the credit card was being cancelled and I haven't received any notice for refunds.

Please advise.

unauthorized payment
found online as mysalutecard.com, this visa bankster took an ac card services autopayment which I did NOT innitiate or submit of 360.00 today 12-19-08 as if I would not notice days before xmas that this money was missing. Im filing for reverse of these funds. heads up banksters I now have a project--- fedreal reserve complaint, consumer complaint and my state attorney general as well and anyone else that can document the crimes by our society's latest GANGSTERS... the BANKSTERS!!!

cancelling everyone
I have never heard of something so ridiculous in my life. First they send a letter saying the address on the envelope is incorrect and payments if already sent before notice received may not post to the account on time. Then they allowed you to make a payment online without a fee. The next week send a letter saying your account has been cancelled, but you are still obligated to pay back the balance on your account. Mind you they are still adding on finance charges. I tried to call and got a busy signal as if it was a non working number. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a company goes belly up how are you still obligated to pay them. If you have something in layaway at a furniture store and they go belly up, you are at a lost. You don't get your money back or your product. I will pay them when I feel like it, if I pay back at all. Not once was I late with a payment. They could have at least been courteous enough to give proper notice and an explanation. Salute owes their customers an apology.
